It was a crazy week in wrestling, crazier than usual you could say. In one of the biggest shockers of the year, Jeff Jarrett came back to the company for the sole purpose of being in a match that involves putting a title on a hook. Hernandez made his way back too, leaving the best wrestling show on TV for one marked for cancellation. And Vader also returned to Tna for the first time in over a decade, providing inspiration by proving that 60-year-old men are completely capable of beating up full-time wrestlers 32 years younger than them.
Elsewhere, Seth Rollins made nice with The Authority on Raw, which indirectly lead to Jamie Noble breaking three ribs. WWE continued their streak of wasting our time promoting things we don’t want to watch. Last week it was Ted 2, this week, it was an “exclusive sneak peek” at Mr. Robot,...

Another wrestling legend has passed away too soon. William Ansor, better known as the “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel, passed on June 22nd 2015 following a car accident. Reportedly, he drove himself to hospital, left shortly after, and passed away at home from injuries directly related to the crash.
Of course, our thoughts are with his friends, family, and loved ones.
While modern day WWE fans may not remember him save for a brief run in the mid-90s and a handful of later appearances, Landel had a wide career outside the promotion and shared the ring with legendary names like Ric Flair, Bret Hart, Buddy Rogers, and others over the years. Following the news of his death breaking late yesterday, the WWE released a statement saying they were “saddened to learn of the passing of William Ansor, aka “Nature Boy” Buddy Landel and offered their condolences to his family,...

With the advent of YouTube, DailyMotion, and of course WWE Network (now available in most of the world with the remaining countries a few months away from getting it), a new generation of fans has been introduced to wrestling history. For WWE’s part, the network houses every pay-per-view event from WWE, WCW, and Ecw as well as every WCW Clash of the Champions special, every WWF/E Saturday Night’s Main Event special, and a host of other original and archival programming.
On the network, the biggest moments are covered from top to bottom, while many enterprising fans have tried to fill in the gaps on YouTube and DailyMotion. It’s never been easier to try to watch old wrestling videos.
The newer breed of wrestling geeks may not be familiar with the history behind some of the odd inside jokes that have permeated wrestling over the years,...

After about a month of taking in what the WWE Network has to offer I thought we could take a look at some of the things that are worth your time on there, and even just to pick up on DVD. Every PPV event from WWE(F), WCW and Ecw is included on the on-demand section of the network, which means there is hundreds of shows and thousands of hours worth of wrestling to dig through, so I wanted to whittle it down to ten shows that I feel are worth watching, and the reasons will be highlighted too.
Let’s begin with an obvious one shall we?
WWE: WrestleMania 1
Held in Madison Square Garden in New York City, the very first WWF pay-per-view ever presented and a show that lit the fuse on the rocket that became sports entertainment and the concept of pay-per-view. The show isn’t...
