Like most people – and I am basing this entirely on the box office – I am more of a Marvel person than DC. But I definitely am not loyal to either side. DC have produced plenty of great live-action movies but I was intrigued how they would fare with an animated adult movie.
Ending a fifteen movie story arc, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War is DC’s Endgame as we see the Justice League regroup after the decimation of Earth and attempting to finally defeat Darkseid.
Not having seen any DC animated movie before this (or many animated superhero movies at all) I went into...

Since I was unable to attend the press screening, I will not be submitting a review of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Instead, I think we should have a nice civil discussion. I know, I know that’s nearly impossible on the internet, but let’s give it the old college try. Shall we?
First off, let me tell you how I received this film and I'd love to compare with what you guys thought. There will be spoilers, please do not read unless you have already seen the film. It's just better that way.
For starters, Batman v Superman exceeded many personal expectations. Totally going away from the established methods of Marvel. Instead, taking three hours to jump ahead three or four films of material. Was it accomplished very well? Yes. Put down those torches! Let's me ask/answer a few questions.
Was Batman introduced and solidified...

Warner Bros.
Though the full trailer for Batman v. Superman will premiere on IMAX screens next Monday, Warner Bros have released some footage already.
They’re not necessarily shots that we’ll be seeing in the film, however and the two screenshots in this news post are just about all you get.
Moody.
Ben Affleck may get top billing on the film’s credit block, but that trailer put Superman first, both in terms of the costume footage and the logo reveals at the end.
If you’re in the Us, free tickets to the full trailer’s IMAX screenings are available now. If you’re not in the Us… well, it seems you’re out of luck. There’s no clue yet where and how the rest of the world will get to see the trailer. It won’t be tooooooo long, I’m sure, but it doesn’t...

1. Spider-Man/Peter Parker After running out of options on ways to afford his rent, he became a newspaper photographer. While taking pictures of himself and other Super Heroes and Super Villains, isnít the hardest work, Peter probably has the toughest boss in all of comics: J. Jonah Jameson. 2. Superman/Clark Kent Clark doesnít need to work to pay for his lovely Ice Mansion, yet he plugs away each day at the Daily Bugle as a journalist. This gives him access to the news as it is happening and more importantly, Louis Lane. 3. Thor/Sigurd Jarlson Thor with the help of S.H.I.E.L.D. created his identity as Sigurd Jarlson, a blue collar, work with your bare hands construction worker. 4. The Flash/Barry Allen Barry is a forensic scientist for the police. Talk about a cool day job, and it gets better; a lab accident at his job...

"I've wanted to be in a superhero movie, and this was my best chance - as some mere mortal. Let's be real here. I don't look that good in Lycra. I do all right, but I hadn't anticipated that I was ever going to be cast as the girl in Lycra looking hot."
On embracing her flaws:

"Boardwalk Empire" actor, Michael Shannon has come out to speak about his recent casting as General Zod in Superman: Man of Steel. The pieces are finally coming together for Warner Bros. long awaited reboot of their popular Superman franchise, Director Zack Snyder has pulled together a strong cast and despite the iffy nature of his most recent release, Sucker Punch, I'm still thrilled by the prospect of a shiny, new Superman series.
Joining Shannon in the film are a highly competent cast, including Amy Adams as Louis Lane, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Martha and Jonathan Kent respectively, and Henry Cavill in the titular role as Clark Kent/Superman.
Speaking at the RiverRun International Film Festival, Shannon was quite candid about his joy at getting the part of the iconic Kryptonian villain:
So I go meet him [Zack Snyder] and he’s seriously sitting there and he’s telling me – he...

Now that director Zack Snyder has found his Man Of Steel, he can now turn his attention to finding his perfect Louis Lane -- a.k.a the Superman love interest for his reboot. Talk has spread across the internet like wilde fire (pun intended), with names like Rachel McAdams (my personal favorite), Jessica Biel, Dianna Agron, Malin Akerman, and Kristen Stewart (oh god no) reportedly in the mix for the role. All very capable actress', but now we have another name to add to the casting couch -- actress/model Olivia Wilde.
According to Latino Review, the actress who most recently played Quorra in Tron Legacy, is another name we can add to the already stacking list of contenders for the role -- and judging by some of the names up there, were looking at a one fierce fight! Latino Review suggests that Wilde is among the top-list of...

Axel Braun, the director behind the "Batman" porn parody, is now filming an X-rated version of "Superman." The new flick won't hit your local porn shops till December, but we now have a behind-the-scene video for you to marvel at. The video doesn't feature anything hardcore, but has a quick shot at Lois Lane's backside, which makes this Not Safe For Work. The best parts come when Braun discusses the movie, speaking as if he's not making a porn flick but an actually Hollywood film. Ryan Driller stars as the man of steel and Andy San Dimas is Louis Lane. No word on the villain, but there is a good chance that the villain will be the same as in the "Batman" parody, which is once again a terrible case of STDs. Video:...

Looks like Warners really is intent on putting those who made The Dark Knight to work on Superman, with news that David Goyer – who has contributed to the story for both of the latest Bat-ventures – has signed on to write a new Superman tale called The Man Of Steel.Latino Review brings news that Goyer has been hired by Legendary Pictures and DC Entertainment (with likely input from Chris Nolan) to crank out a script that doesn’t have to re-set Clark Kent/Supes’ origin. Instead, the new movie will assume we all have the basic knowledge of elements such as Louis Lane, The Daily Planet etc and just focus on the adventure.Goyer’s ideas including drawing from John Byrne’s acclaimed run on the comics (one arc of which was called, not incidentally, The Man Of Steel. We’re told we can expect less angst and more fun,...
