Last year, Alpha Rift director Dan Lantz’s horror film Hayride to Hell had a sold out premiere screening at the Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania – the same theatre that served as a memorable filming location for the 1958 classic The Blob. Now Hayride to Hell is set to receive a wider theatrical release on October 20th – and in anticipation of that release, a trailer has arrived online! You can check it out in the embed above.
Starring genre icons Bill Moseley and Kane Hodder (who played Jason Voorhees and Victor Crowley in four films each), Hayride to Hell shows what happens when Farmer Sam (Moseley) exacts his bloody revenge on unscrupulous local town-folk, including Sheriff Jubel (Hodder), who menace him and attempt to steal the farm that has been in his family for 200 years.
Moseley and Hodder’s co-stars include Graham Wolfe, Allyson Malandra, Jared Michael Delaney, Shelby Hightower, Melanie Martyn,...

Horror legends Kane Hodder (best known for his portrayal of Jason Voorhees in the Friday The 13th Franchise) and Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) meet their match in Hayride To Hell, hitting theaters across the country on October 20th. Inspired by the real haunted hayride executive producer and farmer Bob Lange used to have on his family's multi-generation pumpkin farm back in the 80s and 90s, the film is a cult-horror classic in the making that dually highlights the charm and necessity of preserving Pennsylvania's family...

Speakeasy Pictures and Impulse-fx have released the first trailer for the period action thriller Bloodrunners, the latest feature from writer/director Dan Lantz (Blind Love, Felix Melman).
Bloodrunners - which combines the action of crime dramas with the otherworldly gore of vampire – centers on a turf war between a crooked cop and a power-hungry vampire (Ice-t, “Law and Order: Svu”) over a small town soaked in illegal hooch during the height of Prohibition. Michael McFadden (The Networker) headlines as a cop living large on looking the other way as booze flows through his protectorate…
By 1933, Prohibition has proven a booming enterprise, where average citizens break the law, hide in the shadows and operate at night. The new world order has even lined the pockets of corrupt cops like Jack Malone (McFadden). He collects a ‘luxury tax’ from every bootlegger and scofflaw in the small town he has sworn to protect.

In the trailer for Dan Lantz’s Bloodrunners, we learn that bootlegging is cool, and vampires are not. That is, vampires are cool in the sense that they’re the kind of chic, good-looking people so many of us aspire to be, but the whole “feasting on humans” bit is the one thing that crooked 1930s cop Jack Malone (Michael McFadden) won’t tolerate. Officer Malone (or is it Detective? We can’t see his shield in the trailer) will take cash in exchange for looking the other way on the booze running into his Prohibition-era town. But when corpses end up along the road and at the most popular speakeasy in town, he’s going to have to roll up his sleeves and do some enforcing.
Malone will encounter some resistance from Chesterfield, the saloon owner played by Ice-t (or “Ice-Teeth”), who is maybe also the head vampire, or...

The employees of a medical research lab are trapped inside after a deadly agent is let loose that starts turning everyone into zombies.
Cross between Resident Evil and The Office. Bloodlust Zombies lacks the sophistication of Resident Evil and the sharp comedy of the Office. For the most part, Bloodlust Zombies doesn't work as a serious addition to the sub-genre. The overall scenario in Bloodlust Zombies is never convincing, because the film is too broadly made and acted. The performances are too over the top which results in the zombies never coming across as genuinely frightening. No particular cast member stands out as being a likable presence to help carry the film. And while there is humor, the cast doesn't have the finesse or the comedic timing to properly pull it off. Breaking Glass Pictures will release director Dan Lantz’s debut feature film “Bloodust Zombies” on DVD July 5. The horror-comedy, about a zombie virus outbreak in an office building, features adult film star Alexis Texas in her first mainstream role.
Like typical 9-to-5 cubicle dwellers, the workers at Zlantoff Industries are just counting down the minutes and seconds by the end of the day. And just like any office, mishaps are bound to happen: spilt coffee, jammed fax machines … mutant viral outbreaks. When a chemical spill in the lab on an otherwise uneventful weekday puts the office on emergency lockdown, the staff unwittingly becomes the first test subjects for an experimental, biological weapon – and if the mutant virus doesn’t spur cannibalistic murder, the passive aggressive office banter will.
“Bloodlust Zombies” is a rollercoaster ride of sex, gore and action. Part office satire, part apocalyptic nightmare, it keeps the laughs – and heads – rolling.
