When it debuted back in 2010, Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to his smash play The Phantom of the Opera, was a bust. Now he hopes it can be resurrected.
The composer helped rework the musical for a stage production currently running in Australia at Sydney's Capitol Theatre for 12 weeks only (get tickets here), but if you're like most of us and can't make it Down Under, you'll have a chance to see it when a filmed version hits movie theaters this month and next.
Lloyd Webber hopes the movie — available at hundreds of cinemas across the U.S. on February 28th and March 7th — will spark new interest, maybe from Broadway. A new life for Love Never Dies would be a vindication for Lloyd Webber, who considers it to be his best score but was distracted by battling cancer when it opened in London in 2010.

A couple weeks ago, the peacock network finally started airing their new Friends with Benefits sitcom. The pilot for the TV show was developed for ABC but they passed on the series and NBC picked it up. Now that the show's debuted, is the alphabet network regretting their decision or will the sitcom flop and be quickly cancelled?
Friends with Benefits revolves around a group of friends who live in Chicago and their relationships are complicated to say the least. Ben Lewis (Ryan Hansen) is on the hunt for the perfect woman who can meet his impossibly high standards. His best friend, Doctor Sara Maxwell (Danneel Harris), just wants a compatible man and to raise a family with him. They end up turning to each other for both moral and physical support as they wait for their mates to come along. Others in the cast include Zach Cregger,...

Lera Lynn’s song “Bobby Baby” won the 2011 Chris Austin Songwriting Contest hosted by Merlefest Festival in Wilkesboro, N.C., which afforded her the privilege of performing between headlining sets. But before leaving for the festival, she and bandmate Ben Lewis recorded a banjo-driven cover of TV On The Radio’s “Wolf Like Me.” While learning the song, Lera Lynn heard that TV On The Radio’s bassist Gerard Smith passed away from a battle with lung cancer. They have since offered “Wolf Like Me” as a tribute to the musician....

Three days. One boat. Countless Gen Y entrepreneurs. No free Wi-Fi. And only a rickety proprietary social network run by the cruise line to keep everyone connected. Stuff's about to get ... personal.
I'm on a three-day cruise on the Celebrity Century with 1,000 people--mostly extroverted Generation Y entrepreneurs with impressive resumes--for a conference-style event called Summit at Sea.
Summit Series, the company hosting the event, isn't trying to be the next Ted. The organizers prefer to call it "the greatest adventure the world has never seen" and "the world's first temporary floating autonomous zone." It's really more a party than a conference. Our itinerary includes speeches by the usual suspects--Shai Agassi, Tim Ferriss, Peter Diamandis--but it also incorporates shark tagging, kayaking, and a full day of beach bumming at a secret private island. The Celebrity Century is a gaudy '90s cruise ship fully equipped with a casino, two theaters,...

Instantly becoming the envy of men everywhere (and I bet some woman too) is Owf reader Ben Lewis who has just won our contest to see Drive Angry 3D tonight in London with Amber Heard in attendance! I hope he has a strong heart because to be that close to physical perfection, well I’m not sure I could take it.
Enjoy the screening Ben. Our review of Drive Angry, opening in the U.K. next Friday, is coming soon.
P.S. – There’s still time to enter our competition to see True Grit. Enter Here.

Stevie Wonder hits the UK, Toy Story goes 3D, and it's the last ever Big Brother – our critics pick the unmissable events of the season

Anyone who can't face braving Glastonbury to see the Motown legend's Sunday-night set can head to London's Hyde Park for this headlining show. It's likely to be heavy on the hits, but a little too heavy on the audience participation, if complaints from disgruntled punters at Wonder's recent shows are anything to go by. And be warned: Jamiroquai seems to have been enticed out of retirement to provide support. Hyde Park, London W2, 26 June. Box office: 020-7009 3484.

This beloved Scottish festival is prized as much for its atmosphere as its lineup. And they're certainly wheeling out the big hitters this year: Eminem, Muse, Kasabian, Jay-z, Black Eyed Peas, Florence and the Machine, La Roux, Dizzee Rascal and Paolo Nutini,...

The iPhone is growing into a respectable gaming platform, with the development of surprisingly good sports games like RSoccer09, a decent adaption of Assassin's Creed and barebones Mmo games like World War and Kingdoms Live. But where it really excels is in casual games, and my favorite lately has been Tapword from Ben Lewis and Lee Linden at Tapjoy. A simple word search game in the vein of Boggle, the free app gives you three minutes to find as many three-or-more-letter words by connecting letters on a four-by-four grid. You can adjust the board size, word length or the time limit (I've taken to making the game five minutes long), and then upload your high score to compare with others. It's addictive enough that my wife and daughters keep stealing my phone.

From 2002 until 2008, twenty-two-year old Adamo Ruggiero played gay teen Marco Del Rossi on the long running teen drama Degrassi: The Next Generation. Viewers followed Marco as he struggled to come out to his friends, fell victim to a gay bashing, found love for the first time and simply struggled to find his way in the world as an openly gay man. Behind the scenes, Ruggiero dealt with his own personal coming out story, which mirrored his on screen counterpart’s life in many ways.
Recently, AfterElton.com talked to Ruggiero not only about his decision to come out of the closet, but how it affected his career, his feelings about his years at Degrassi, his thoughts about the struggles of young gay men today, his first feature film and much more.
But we started off by talking about his starring role in Dog Sees God, a stage play about the...
