Snitchseeker interviewed Harry Potter stars Matthew Lewis (Neville Longbottom) and Chris Rankin (Percy Weasley) about how their characters have developed over the course of the series and what fans can expect from them in Deathly Hallows. I do know that Neville plays a big role in the final book, so we'll see what happens with that. The audio is a bit muted (or I'm going deaf) so here's some of the transcript:SnitchSeeker: Ok so what have you learned in terms of acting in Deathly Hallows compared to your character in the previous six films? Matt: Ooh, that's a good one. Well, Neville’s really, really come on a lot this year. While Harry, Ron and Hermione have been out of school, Neville’s assumed Harry’s position of leader of Dumbledore’s Army. It's literally all that training that Neville’s been through throughout the last couple of years. It...

Harry Potter fans will need a strong stomach to sit through the next installment of the wizard franchise - the film has been described as "bloody", "gory" and "harrowing" by actor Matthew Lewis.
The seventh installment in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, has been split into two films, with Part 1 slated for release in November and Part 2 set to hit cinemas eight months later.
Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom in the movies, has revealed the final two films will remain true to J.K. Rowling's final book - even including more adult scenes of death and violence.
He tells SnitchSeeker.com, "David (Yates, director) as well as (screenwriter) Steve Kloves haven't shied away from the more severe stuff in it that was in the book. It's bloody and it's gory and it's very real. (They're) trying to keep as much stuff as they can from the book in the film. We're going to stick to the book and we're gonna say, 'Look, some of it is quite harrowing, some of it's quite serious. People do die.'
"It's not sugar-coated. It's right there, it's quite raw and all the performances have had to step up."...

Take the above tagline with as much salt as you need but the fine folks over at the Harry Potter fan site of Snitchseeker have a tidbit of information you may want to hear about. Harry Potter actor Matthew Lewis has revealed that Deathly Hallows will be a "gory" film. Speaking to SnitchSeeker.com, the Neville Longbottom actor compared the final two Potter instalments to the Lord Of The Rings. "David [Yates, director] as well as [screenwriter] Steve Kloves haven't shied away from the more severe stuff in it that was in the book. It's bloody and it's gory and it's very real. But it's been cool and it's not like anything I've had to do before," he said. Matthew Lewis' 1796 novel is once again being brought to the screen. First adapted in 1990, this latest incarnation, according to Variety, finds Dominik Moll ( With a Friend Like Harry ) at the helm. Vincent Cassel, Deborah Francois, Sergi Lopez ( Pan's Labyrinth ) and Geraldine Chaplin ( The Orphanage ) have signed on to star. Cassel is Ambrosio, the eponymous character whose life descends into temptation filled with rape, incest and torture. This is orchestrated by the devil who greets him in female form. Cinemablend has posted the first official teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which will arrive in theaters on November 19, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 coming to theaters on July 15, 2011.
We got a small glimpse at the film from the Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince DVD but this trailer differs slightly. I really like John Hurts voice as Olivander and then the creepy Ralph Fiennes voice at the end.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Ralph Fiennes, Bill Nighy, John Hurt, Rhys Ifans, Helena Bonham Carter, Robbie Coltrane, Imelda Staunton, Jason Isaacs, Miranda Richardson, Warwick Davis, Alan Rickman, Maggie Smith, Brendan Gleeson, Ciaran Hinds, Timothy Spall, David Thewlis, Julie Walters, Tom Felton, Bonnie Wright, Jamie Campbell Bower, Richard Griffiths, Matthew Lewis, Evanna Lynch, Fiona Shaw, Helen McCrory, David O’Hara, Natalia Tena and will hit theaters...

SnitchSeeker just participated in an exclusive fansite Q&A with the creator of Harry Potter: The Exhibition and actor Matthew Lewis, who plays Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter films. We'll have all the details up soon, plus photos of the Boston exhibit, but for now here are some quick excerpts: * It took 16 semi trucks to move the exhibit from Chicago to Boston. * The Boston museum set up the displays in record time – three weeks instead of the usual five weeks – in order to set up the exhibit in time for Halloween. * The films producers have seen elements and plans for the exhibit, but have not seen it in its final form. Matt had the following to say about the exhibit itself: ---Quote--- I was stunned. I'd heard about the exhibit in Chicago, but I had no idea about the size and scale. It was incredible and it was really wind-y and mazelike.

Who says the Harry Potter films are just for people like Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint? Warner Bros. has spent the past few weeks offering fans a chance to become one of the moving pictures in one of the two final Harry Potter installments. The only bad part: You have to be over 18. That's not exactly reaching the original demographic of children under 12 when J.K. Rowling published her first book, Matthew Lewis, the actor who portrays Neville Longbottom in the film series, told BBC. "Obviously we started off as primarily a kids' film, and it's a shame that it's over 18s," Lewis said. "But we've got a massive demographic now." Lewis joined co-star Evanna Lynch, who plays Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film series, to launch 1,000 black balloons from the Millennium ...
