Chokehold: Trailer And Tour Dates For Indie Action Flick Starring Casper Van Dien And Melissa Croden
Our friends at Ammo Entertainment have been touring Brian Skiba's indie action flick Chokehold this month. The tour will end in New York City on the 28th and though we are a bit behind on the schedule if you are a fan of Mma fighter crossovers into film then you may want to check out Chokehold and its star, Mma fighter Melissa Croden. Also of interest to any Mlb fans out there, one of the film's executive producers is six-time all-star Kenny Lofton and he has been touring with the film. The final two stops of the tour are in Chicago on the 24th and 25th, then NYC on the 27th and 28th. Chokehold will be available on VOD, Tvod and DVD on March 5th....

In 1989’s Major League, Charlie Sheen played Rick “Wild Thing” Vaughn, a nearly blind pitcher straight out of prison who, with some training, became both an excellent pitcher and a bit of a ladies man. It was a weirdly career defining role for Sheen, and though the actor has been through some tiger-blood infused tough times since, he still feels some sort of connection with Vaughn—or at least with the celebrity that his connection with the Cleveland Indians can bring him now that the team is in the World Series.
At least, that’s the jist of Sheen’s recent Twitter activity. He’s been tweeting a ton as the team has journeyed through the post-season, and lobbied intensely to throw out the first pitch of the first game of the Series, though the Indians shut him down in favor of an Indians legend, Kenny Lofton. Charlie Sheen might be the most famous Cleveland Indian to have never actually played in a real game, and he made his World Series alliance clear prior to Game 2.
The 51-year-old Golden Globe winner jumped back into his Ricky "Wild Thing" Vaughn jersey from Major League for a video tweeted on Wednesday night before the Indians took on the Chicago Cubs at Progressive Field.
"Go tribe," Sheen says in the clip, standing in front of a screen projecting the 1989 comedy.
Sheen has been a favorite among Indians fans since playing the hotshot rookie pitcher on the big screen, leading some to push for him to throw out the first pitch for the World Series. To Sheen's disappointment, that honor went to former Indians outfielder Kenny Lofton.

THR reportedly said Charlie Sheen‘s iconic “Wild Thing” Rick Vaughn would play a key role in new sequel of the Major League franchise.
The original film’s writer and director, David S. Ward, who said that he’s scribed a script for a third “Major League” film — the series took a late-90′s detour to the minor leagues — and that Sheen’s got a major character to play.
It’s 20 years later and Charlie’s character has been out of baseball since he gave up the walk-off homerun in the seventh game of the World Series. But the team wants him back to mentor this young fireballing relief pitcher.”
Sheen said he’s very much up for doing a new “Major League” movie and even had hosted over the Presidents Day Weekend screening of his 1989 comedy “Major League” for an all-star spectators that included baseball celebrities like Brian Wilson,...

CAA has signed top baseball agent Casey Close, whose client roster includes New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter. Close, who has been an agent for more than 14 years, has negotiated major baseball deals like Jeter's 10-year contract with the Yankees in 2001 and represented six first-round draft picks last year. Close, who will be based in CAA's New York office, comes from IMG, where he had headed the baseball division since 1992. Following Close are such major-league players on his client list as Derrek Lee, Richie Sexson, Ben Sheets, Mark Buehrle, Eric Milton and Kenny Lofton. The announcement comes a week after leading pro football agents Tom Condon and Ken Kremer also left IMG to join CAA (HR 4/6).
