- Jane Mallett was born on April 17, 1899 in London, Ontario, Canada. She was an actress, known for Sweet Movie (1974), The Wednesday Play (1964) and The New Avengers (1976). She died on April 14, 1984 in Ontario, Canada.
- In 1958, Mallett co-founded what is known today as the Actors' Fund of Canada, which provides emergency financial assistance to arts professionals.
- Mallett performed extensively in radio dramas and was known for being able to portray many different characters in a single show.
- Awarded the C.M. (Member of the Order of Canada) on June 25, 1975 for her services to theatre in Canada.
