I haven't been to a Broadway show in a few years, but this is one that I'd definitely pay the high ticket fee to see. Via a tweet from New York theater journalist/critic Jonathan Mandell, James Earl Jones and Cicely Tyson will be sharing the same Broadway stage, starring in a revival of D.L. Coburn's "The Gin Game," at the Golden Theatre, with previews set to begin on September 21. Directed by Leonard Foglia, the production will officially open October 13. In the play, an elderly man and woman play repeated games of gin in their retirement home, as they slowly come to grips with what is left of their lives, in their old age, Jones and Tyson last shared a...

Update: Theater journalist/critic shared the following on Twitter moments ago, correcting the New York Post story that said Hudson has signed up to play Celie. As Mandell's tweet states, Hudson will actually be playing Shug, which, quite frankly, makes more sense to me. Here's Mandell's tweet: Yes, @Iamjhud will make her Bway debut in #TheColorPurple revival, publicists confirm, but 1. as Shug not Celie. 2. date Tba — Jonathan Mandell (@NewYorkTheater) January 9, 2015 And here's the original story published earlier this morning: According to a New York Post report this morning, Jennifer Hudson will make her Broadway debut this Fall, as Celie in a revival of "The Color...

Jamie Foxx, Quvenzhané Wallis and Rose Byrne filming "Annie" remake in NYC. #TheSunWillComeOutTomorrow pic.twitter.com/XDSe533uGJ. Jonathan Mandell (@NewYorkTheater) December 4, 2013 We have more than a year to wait to see Will Gluck.s remake on the popular stage and feature musical Annie, but the sun has already begun to come out for this project, as evidenced by the above photo, which shows some of the cast looking as though they.re mid-song. That includes the adorable Quvenzhane Wallis, who can be seen dressed in Annie.s signature red up front. Next to her is Jamie Foxx, who plays Benjamin Stacks, the Daddy Warbucks of this story, and Rose Byrne, as Grace, is over there on the right in the tan jacket. And though her name isn.t mentioned in the Tweet . possibly for characters. sake . is that not Cameron Diaz over on the left? Diaz is set to...

We see a lot of great indie horror work here at Dread Central. But every once in awhile we get a look at something that stands out, something that looks like it's got a chance to rise above and be the next micro-budget film to set the world on fire. Judging by its trailer, Delirium might be it.
We are beginning to become accustomed to the fact that, from time to time, horror films made on tiny budgets are going to go crazy at the box office. Looking back, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Halloween, The Blair Witch Project and Paranormal Activity are all films that fall into the category of surprise runaway hits. Delirium could be next. Take a look at the amazing trailer below and see if you don't agree that the film has fantastic potential.
Currently in post-production, Delirium is looking at a release date around June of this year.
