Actor Frankie Muniz may be known for his role as the titular character in Agent Cody Banks or for his open-wheel racing career. However, his most popular role has to be his seven-season stint on the Fox sitcom Malcolm in the Middle. The show, which also featured Bryan Cranston was extremely popular throughout its run.
With many shows receiving a revival or a reboot, fans of Malcolm in the Middle are also clamoring for new material from the beloved show. While a revival of the show has been teased by the cast multiple times, Muniz revealed that the process was closer to reality than usual and that the revival might just happen soon.

Frankie Muniz shared on the latest episode of “I’m a Celebrity Australia” (via News.com.au) that he once “walked off” the set of his beloved Fox sitcom “Malcolm in the Middle” when everyone else was refusing to stand up to certain people who were “controlling or rude or disrespectful.” Muniz starred on the comedy as the eponymous child genius for seven seasons, but he missed two episodes because of his decision.
“There were two episodes I’m not in. I walked off the set,” Muniz said, explaining that his actions were due to set tensions. “Everyone was so afraid to stand up when certain people were controlling or rude or disrespectful. Like they walked on pins and needles. I was so mortified by seeing people afraid to stand up for themselves, I was like: ‘Say something.’”

This article contains spoilers for the final episode of Malcolm in the Middle.
Besides animated series, there are very few sitcoms which maintain a consistent level of hilarity with every beat of comic timing. No matter what point you turn on Malcolm in the Middle, any episode, something will make you laugh within 18 seconds. I’m not talking giggles or chuckles, but full-out guffaws that make you miss the next six jokes.
Other shows may be more consistent in overall quality, but none match the stream of funny that comes out of the series created by Linwood Boomer, himself the third of four siblings who was placed in the “gifted” class at school. After graduating, Boomer acted on Little House on the Prairie, another show focusing on a middle child. The semi-autobiographical Malcolm in the Middle doesn’t just call for a second look. It screams for a repeat binge.

Phillips named “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, according to the filing, which took place on Sept. 18 in Santa Barbara Superior Court.

Bijou Phillips has filed for divorce from Danny Masterson less than two weeks after the actor was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison for the rapes of two women in 2003.
The filing, submitted Monday in Santa Barbara, caught many off guard since there was a stream of headlines following Masterson’s sentencing that suggested Phillips would stand by her husband as she had throughout his years-long legal battles.
“Ms. Phillips has decided to file for divorce from her husband during this unfortunate time. Her priority remains with her daughter. This period has been unimaginably hard on the marriage and the family. Mr. Masterson was always present for Ms. Phillips during her most difficult times of her life. Ms. Phillips acknowledges that Mr. Masterson is a wonderful father to their daughter,” Phillips’ lawyer, Peter Lauzon, tells The Hollywood Reporter in a statement.

Los Angeles, Sep 9 (Ians) Actors and star couple Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis have written in support of the rape accused actor Danny Masterson, ahead of his sentencing, vouching for his character.
Kutcher and Kunis wrote letters in an effort to urge the judge for a lesser sentencing. In Kutcher’s letter, he referred to Masterson as a “role model”, while Kunis vouched for Masterson’s “exceptional character”, calling him as an “outstanding older brother figure,” in documents obtained by Variety.
Both the actors have previously worked with Masterson. Kutcher and Kunis starred in ‘That ’70s Show’ with him, which ran for eight seasons and 200 episodes between 1998 and 2006.
Kutcher then again starred with Masterson on the web series, ‘The Ranch’, though Masterson was written out of the show in its third season, after being accused of sexual assault in 2017.

That ’70s Show star Danny Masterson was sentenced to thirty years in prison yesterday after being found guilty of two counts of sexual assault. Prior to the sentencing, more than fifty people wrote letters to Judge Charlaine Olmedo to voice their support for Danny Masterson and to urge for a lesser sentence. Two of the people who wrote letters were Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who starred alongside Masterson on That ’70s Show.
Danny Masterson’s defence was asking for 15 years to life, so everyone who wrote letters to Judge Olmedo likely knew that he would at least be serving that time.
Ashton Kutcher counted Masterson as a friend and role model in his letter. “As a role model, Danny has consistently been an excellent one,” Kutcher wrote. “I attribute not falling into the typical Hollywood life of drugs directly to Danny. Any time that we were to meet someone...

Young Sheldon is one of the best and most beloved family sitcoms out there. The CBS series started as a spin-off of the hit sitcom series The Big Bang Theory and follows the early life of one of the main characters of the original series. Young Sheldon recently concluded its Season 6 and while you wait for Season 7 here are some similar shows that you should check out next.

Bryan Cranston played the show’s bumbling patriarch Hal in “Malcolm in the Middle” for seven seasons before the Fox family comedy series ended in 2006. Scientology has long been a source of intrigue and controversy in the media.
Though categorised as a cult in Germany, the Church of Scientology is considered a religion by others and has generated headlines about teachings that many deem restrictive.
This, however, hasn’t stopped several Hollywood actors from advocating for the religion.
Recently, Alex Gibney, the filmmaker behind the documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, expressed shock that Tom Cruise, a famed Scientologist, has not been called out for his involvement.
“There hasn’t been any reckoning for him, it surprised me,” Gibney told Rolling Stone.
Whether it’s through Louis Theroux’s exploration into the Church or rumours of John Travolta’s attempted uncoupling from it, Scientology’s position in popular culture cannot be denied.
Here is a rundown of some of the best-known Hollywood stars who have been affiliated with the Church.

Masterson’s mother raised him and his three siblings, all of whom have acting credits, in the religion. However, Masterson isn’t the only cast member of That ’70s Show affiliated with the church.

Bryan Cranston is setting the record straight on “Malcolm in the Middle” movie rumors.
Cranston, who played suburban dad Hal in the Emmy-winning series from 2000 to 2006, addressed the long-standing reunion buzz which was reignited in October 2022 by breakout series lead Frankie Muniz. The cast also included Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sullivan, and James and Lukas Rodriguez.
“It’s a possibility,” Cranston told The Independent, adding that he spoke with series creator Linwood Boomer months prior about a possible movie. “He said he would think about it, and he got his writers together. If they can come up with a great idea, a legitimate idea, then he’ll pursue it. But if not, then nah.”
Cranston added, “I don’t need a job. I’ve got plenty of jobs. I don’t need it, but I’d want it if it was a great idea.”

Bryan Cranston sounds ready to revisit Hal, his lovable patriarch from Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle.
During an interview with E! News that published online Friday, the Emmy-winning actor said he has heard talk about reviving the popular comedy, and he made it clear that he would enjoy exploring more from the series if the opportunity felt right. Cranston is currently promoting Showtime’s Your Honor, which launches its second and final season later this month.
“There was some talk about the possibility of doing like a reunion movie of Malcolm in the Middle,” Cranston said. “We had such a great family on that, and I certainly would be open to that if there was a good idea that came up like, ‘Oh, that would be fantastic to explore what happened to this family 20 years later.’ I can’t believe it’s already that, but that would be fun to do.

The fourth and final accuser to testify that Danny Masterson violently raped her took the stand Thursday for cross-examination, standing her ground as defense attorney Philip Cohen focused on a message of “support” she sent the “That ’70s Show” star’s brother after initial reports about rape accusations began to surface in 2017.
But there was one thing she wasn’t allowed to say: Masterson’s former DJ name, a slang term for a violent sexual act.
Jane Doe 4 had testified Wednesday that Masterson raped her at his home where castmembers from a low-budget film were crashing after a wrap party in 1996. Her tale repeated several themes from previous witnesses testimony: creepy staring, aggressive commands and mysteriously drifting in and out of consciousness while the actor forced them into “rough … pounding” unwanted sex.

Life is unfaaaiiirrrrr. Frankie Muniz, who played the titular Malcolm on Malcolm in the Middle, has teased that there could be a reunion in the works, with none other than patriarch Bryan Cranston leading the way.
Frankie Muniz, who hit immediate fame on Fox’s Malcolm in the Middle when the show premiered in 2000, never quite topped the Emmy-winning sitcom, but did do some impressive work outside of movies and TV. Instead of falling into the traps of far too many child actors, Muniz explored passions like racecar driving and drumming.
Still, he has a certain nostalgia for his biggest hit, admitting that he went and watched the series in its entirety–all seven seasons and 151 episodes. On this, Muniz said, “I can separate myself from being on it and watching it as a fan. I would love to know what the family’s up to.” And perhaps some day...

There are actors that seem to gather a good head of steam towards a career and fame and notoriety and then somehow seem to fall off the map. Christopher Masterson didn’t quite do that since he’s easy to find and research but he’s definitely not rocking the small or big screen like he used to and to be honest it’s kind of a shame since he’s a funny guy. He’s played in serious and comedic roles throughout his career and while he’s still an active actor he hasn’t really quite captured the same level of attention he had back in

There might be a new Hollywood couple in town.
Ben Foster and Laura Prepon have been spotted spending time together over the past few months.
Over the weekend, the pair were snapped taking a casual afternoon stroll around New York City. They looked relaxed as they walked arm-in-arm through the streets, even stopping to grab juices before continuing on their way.
Prepon, 36, donned a pair of blue overalls with a gray tank-top underneath, while Foster kept his look equally casual in a pair of jeans and a white button-down.
Just weeks before, they were also seen stepping out together in NYC.

Award-winning screenwriter Justin Owensby brings us his feature film directorial debut, "Chapman", an atmospheric and visually stunning character study enlivened with a strong dose of crude humor following a young man’s journey back home while haunted by images of his past.Alex Fletcher ("Killing Lincoln’s" Jesse Johnson), a locksmith trapped inside the wreckage of a life numbed by drugs and regret, receives an unexpected and troubling letter that draws him back to his childhood home, an idyllic town in the Colorado Rockies. While facing heartbreaking memories of best friend Paul (Chris Masterson, “Malcolm in the Middle”), his first love, Marie and demons from his past, Alex’s journey leads to an unlikely new bedfellow in Claire (Christine Woods, "The Walking Dead") and a confrontation that may be the key to his emotional healing.
"Justin Owensby's feature film debut immediately resonated with us,” said Candy Factory Films’ Head of Acquisitions Caitlin Gold. “His aesthetic eye and ability to bring a character to life is something we're looking forward to sharing with digital audiences everywhere this May.” "Chapman" will be available to download on iTunes and everywhere on May 8th, 2015.

Get ready to feel old! It’s been 15 years since Malcolm in the Middle premiered on television but before you start binge-watching on Netflix, let’s get nostalgic with the family that changed the face of sitcoms on television forever.
The groundbreaking show centered on Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz, and his dysfunctional, yet entirely relatable family -- played by Bryan Cranston, Jane Kaczmarek, Christopher Masterson, Justin Berfield, and Erik Per Sullivan.
"It reminds me of my childhood and the rambunctiousness of it all," Cranston told Et on set back in 2000. "You look at most houses on television and everything's in order and everything's nice and neat and everything -- and you look at our house, and it's real!"
Watch: 'The Amanda Show' Turns 15!
Back then, 14-year-old Muniz was a star on the rise, getting his first real glimpse of the television world in a role he’s dreamed about his entire young life.

It's hard to believe that one of our favorite sitcoms from the 2000's turns 15 today -- "Malcolm in the Middle." Yes, we feel old too ... life is unfair. The series followed "middle" child Malcolm, played by Frankie Muniz, a high school student with a genius Iq and embarrassing family of six (later seven). With a smarty pants, a military teen, a bully and the one and only Dewey running around the house, parents Lois (Jane Kaczmarek) and Hal (Bryan Cranston), definitely had their hands full! So, what have these stars been up to in the last 15 years?Muniz continued to act after the show’s cancelation in 2006, appearing in the Syfy film "Blast Vegas" and an episode of "Don't Trust the B In Apartment 23." He has two films slated for this year: "Hot Bath an’ a Stiff Drink 2" with Robert Patrick and "Road to Capri" with Virginia Madsen and Alfred Molina.

Picking up where we left off on last week’s “Haven,” we begin with Duke (Eric Balfour) entering the cargo hold of his ship to bring Mara (Emily Rose) some lunch. After a snarky exchange, she tells Duke that Nathan’s (Lucas Bryant) life is in danger because he had recently paid her a visit and told her someone was killing the other ghosts. She offers up a new trade for her assistance and says she’ll settle for Duke telling her a story about his mother. Odd choice, and Duke refuses and leaves. Back at the cemetery, Nathan and Morgan (Chris Masterson) [...]

Comparisons to Terrence Malick have become lazy critical shorthand for describing visual poetry, but writer-director Justin Owensby's wounded-hearts drama directly evokes (pilfers?) the impressionistic editing, nostalgic palettes, and gliding magic-hour camera work of The New World or Tree of Life.
Repressed locksmith Alex (Jesse Johnson, son of Don) is a hot mess who copes by chugging cough syrup, huffing paint, and puckishly breaking into cars and hotel rooms as his worldly whims dictate.
The arrival of a letter summons Alex back to his idyllic Colorado Rockies home, where he has fallen out terribly with his childhood buddy Paul (Christopher Masterson, brother of Danny), but all that anguish took place 12 years ago.

Sorry fellas, Dakota Johnson's taken. It turns out that the 23-year-old actress, who will be portraying the very sexual Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film Fifty Shades of Grey, has her own leading man at home and he goes by the name of Jordan Masterson. Does the name sound familiar? It should. Masterson is also an actor, best known for his role as Mark in the 2005 film The 40-Year-Old Virgin and his recurring role as Dumptruck in ABC Family comedy-drama series Greek. Plus, he's the half-brother to actors Danny and Chris Masterson. Judging by the photos on Masterson's Instagram, the pair have been dating for nearly a year. But it doesn't seem like their world as a...

We asked Will and Dan about their show, their terrific cast (including Jeffrey Tambor, Cheyenne Jackson, and Chris Masterson), and what the future might hold for their characters.

With the recent release of House of Cards and Hemlock Grove, Netflix has established serious interest in the original programming market. Amazon, another major player in online streaming services with Prime Instant Video, has made the first major step to follow suit. Late last week, 16 pilots were made available for free streaming on Amazon – 8 comedies and 6 children’s series. Most buzz has surrounded the pilot for Zombieland, a series written by the creators of the 2009 film of the same name. But some of the other pilots feature experienced production and acting credits (notably John Goodman in Alpha House and Jeffrey Tambor in Onion News Empire). Amazon is letting viewers fill out mini-surveys for each pilot as a means of collecting feedback to help decide whether or not a series gets picked up for a full season. Sound On Sight is here to offer some feedback for the comedy pilots:

The Onion's online presence has slowly crept outward from a home website to a plentiful YouTube channel to a consistently hilarious Yahoo mockmentary to, most recently, an Amazon pilot. Amazon Video is the home of Onion News Empire, a sitcom that skewers every aspect of our biased, shallow, sensationalist news media. The show takes place in the newsroom of Onion News Network, making it a fake show about a fake show. It blends The Onion's consistently clever fake headlines with some smart, Colbert-esque satire of the modern news reporting process. The first episode can be viewed for free by Amazon Prime customers, and the trailer is available for free on The Onion's YouTube channel. The Onion has never been big on star power, with most of its articles lacking bylines. Onion News Empire, on the other hand, boasts an impressive cast, including Jeffrey Tambor as an unyieldingly cutthroat anchor, Cheyenne Jackson as his airheaded,...

Netflix recently proved that is was more than just a place to binge on past seasons of Mad Men with its original series, House of Cards. The inside-the-beltway Kevin Spacey drama was a pricey bet on how we will watch TV in the future. And by all accounts that wager, plus its upcoming resurrection of Arrested Development, has paid off. Streaming TV is on its way to becoming a legitimate contender for America’s eyeballs right along with network TV and cable. At least, that’s what Amazon’s hoping.

Alicia Silverstone will be returning to TV as the lead in Lifetime's "Hr," Deadline reports.
The actress, who most recently visited her "Clueless" co-star Jeremy Sisto for a stint on "Suburgatory," will play "the uptight Director of Human Resources for a global company who, after a head injury alters her outlook on life, throws standard corporate practices out the window and inspires the business to strive for new ambitions and profits."
Deadline reports that although the pilot was initially ordered last year, the pickup was contingent upon casting a recognizable lead, so the network spent time making sure that they'd found the right actress for the job.

Last week Dean Norris, who plays "Breaking Bad" resident DEA agent Hank Schrader, tweeted a photo of none other than Jane Kaczmarek on the set of "Breaking Bad," posing with him and a shiner-sporting Bryan Cranston as Walter White. And earlier this week Kaczmarek herself tweeted that "Yes, it's true... I will indeed be on #BreakingBad. Can't wait for you all to see it." Will, as some have theorized, "Breaking Bad" at last be revealed as one long, incredibly dark prequel to "Malcolm in the Middle," with Walt starting a new life under a different name as a non-drug-dealing suburban dad after getting remarried to Kaczmarek's Lois? Could Walt Jr. (Rj Mitte) turn out to be a lost half-sibling to Frankie Muniz, Justin Berfield, Erik Per Sullivan and Christopher Masterson's band of brothers? Alas, probably not, at least not in context of the series itself. Vulture reports that "a source at.

It’s been over a decade since Malcolm in the Middle first started airing, and for a lot of programmes, that kind of length of time is enough to make it seem more than a little dated. Malcolm in the Middle is not one of those shows. Its characters, storylines, and dialogue are just as hilarious as I remember, and I have the added benefit now of getting the jokes put in for the adults. The show has become somewhat iconic, with They Might Be Giants’ opening credits song readily singable by a generation, and for good reason.
Frankie Muniz stars as the young Malcolm, who is discovered in the pilot episode to be something of a genius, with an Iq of 165 at the age of 12. He’s moved from his regular class into the school’s gifted class, becoming a ‘Krelboyne’ in the process, and consequently labelled a nerd.

If there is one safe bet for television it’s the family. If you want to create a drama build it around a family, want to have a film set in the Victorian era in a huge mansion? Set it around the family; want a cartoon to do well…yep that’s right set it around a family. Family is something that we as human beings understand we are “pack” animals, we know how the family works and we trust it. Of course that could be a double edge sword, if the writer can’t get the story believable, if the family is just too unrealistic then it will be doomed to fail. I guess this is why Malcolm in the Middle did so well,...
