The Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV directors plan to continue to investigate kids entertainment in Hollywood, even after dropping their latest bonus episode on Sunday with Quiet on Set: Breaking The Silence.
“We’re hearing calls for federal legislation,” series co-director Mary Robertson tells The Hollywood Reporter when talking about next steps. “At the moment there is no federal legislation that governs children who work in entertainment, or that regulates children working in entertainment.”
The bonus episode, hosted by Soledad O’Brien, delves deeper into the claims surrounding Dan Schneider and the Nickelodeon series he created and ran. The formerly prolific kids TV producer has faced allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior involving underage stars and crewmembers on his shows since the release of the two-part docuseries on March 17 and 18. Drake Bell shared that his Drake & Josh co-star Josh Peck has “reached out” to him, offering support after he revealed in Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV that he was abused.
In the harrowing four-part ID docuseries, the actor-musician shared his story of alleged abuse by his former dialogue coach, Brian Peck, who was convicted of sexually assaulting a Nickelodeon child actor in 2004. Viewers have now learned that Bell, who was a minor at 15 years of age at the time, was at the center of that criminal case and conviction.
Following the revelations about allegations of abuse, some fans took to Josh Peck’s social media to criticize him for staying silent. After Bell’s stint on The Amanda Show from 1999 to 2002, he later starred alongside Josh Peck in the popular Nickelodeon show, Drake & Josh, for four seasons from 2004 to 2007.
“The silence is so loud Josh.

By now, it is clear that behind the camera flashes, things are not quite as shiny as they may seem. In 2003, voice coach and actor Peck was convicted of child s*xual abuse. At the time, the identity of the minor was not revealed. In Quiet on Set, the victim revealed his identity. Further, he also shed light on a major detail regarding the case.

Various actors and entertainment industry insiders wrote letters in support of Brian Peck, a voice coach and Nickelodeon actor who was convicted of child sexual abuse, as revealed in Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
As explained in the docuseries that aired Sunday and Monday nights, Peck was arrested in August 2003 on 11 charges of child sexual abuse. He was sentenced to 16 months in prison in October 2004 and was registered as a sex offender. At the time, the identity of the child actor who was abused by Peck was unknown publicly, and the minor was referred to as John Doe in court documents. The majority of the records were sealed, with details hidden from the public. After nearly 20 years, the documents were unsealed for the documentary.
In the third episode of the series, Drake Bell came forward, revealing he was the child actor in question who was abused by Peck.

Forty-six years after publication, Stephen King’s Children of the Corn has become a B-horror institution. The short story, which first ran in a 1977 issue of Penthouse, follows a bickering couple who run afoul of a murderous cult of corn-worshiping children on a back road in Nebraska. A bleak example of horror in the daylight, the original text plays out like the bastard child of The Wicker Man and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. A 1984 film adaptation adds a sunnier tone while kicking off the story with a brutal massacre in which the children of Gatlin murder their parents. But this jarring tone is not the strangest thing to happen in the corn.
The franchise’s eleven entries are a cinematic cornucopia of ludicrous scenes and sequences. The following is a list of the most bonkers moments in the Children of the Corn series.

The third Children Of The Corn movie is a step up, and a really fun movie...
The film: After the disappearance of their father, brothers Eli (Daniel Cerny) and Joshua (Ron Melendez), are adopted by a Chicago couple, William (Jim Metzler) and Amanda (Nancy Lee Grahn). The brothers are from Gatlin, Nebraska and are used to more conservative ways, but slowly Joshua acclimatises to his new environment. However, Eli is less keen to shed the religion of He Who Walks Behind The Rows and begins scheming to lure in his fellow students with his magic brainwashing corn.

Bitch Slap: A wannabe Tarantino flick!
Rating: 1.5 out of 5*
Starring: Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo, Lucy Lawless, Ron Melendez, Kevin Sorbo and Zoe Bell
Director: Rick Jacobson
August 21, 2010:The opening credits sequence of this film is all about women wrestling with each other in films of yesteryear, while the credits themselves are sarcastic indicators of what’s to com. The film then begins with a car roaring into a remote desert encampment, its engine and the pounding music battling for control of the soundtrack. Three women emerge from the rattle-trap, one adorned.

Film: ‘Bitch Slap’; Director: Rick Jacobson; Cast: Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo, Michael Hurst, Ron Melendez; Rating: *1/2
It was a word that was censored from the Indian screens less than a decade back. But the sign of the times is that not only is the word ‘bitch’ not ‘beeped’, but a lot of other scenes that would have been simply unacceptable make it to the screen in this film.
Sadly, neither the plot, nor the glamorous three women or the curse words used have the stamp of originality written on it.
Three vixen women, in the middle of a ‘hot’.

Bitch Slap, which stars Julia Voth, Erin Cummings, America Olivo, Michael Hurst, Ron Melendez, William Gregory Lee, and Minae Noji, is described as follows: A post-modern, thinking man’s throwback to the B-movie exploitation films of the 1950’s-70’s as well as a loving, sly parody of the same. Inspired by the likes of Dragstrip Girl; Faster Pussycat, Kill, Kill; Kung Fu Nun; and the pantheon of Blaxploitation films, Bitch Slap will mix girls, guns, outrageous action, and jaw-dropping visuals with a message ... don’t be naughty!
