- His visual and artistic creativity led him early on to his interest in cinema and photography (he first stole his father's camera at the age of 8). Later he became fond of painting, and more recently, since his semi-retirement in 1986, of other hobbies such as writing short stories and poetry.
- Awarded a production grant by the Italian ministry of performing arts for directing a film from his own script, "Tonino", which is currently in the preparation stage.
- Began painting in 1982. His favourite techniques are acrylic and oil. His surrealistic style reminds of Magritte. He held two successful exhibits in Rome in 1985 and 1993.
- Has taught cinematography, photography and other visual arts-related subjects at several schools and colleges in Rome between 1981 and 1990.
- Member of A.I.C. (Associazione Italiana Autori della Fotografia).
