Katherine Heigl will get to live every movie star's dream of never growing old in "The Age of Adaline," an epic love story that Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel will co-finance and co-produce.
Mills Goodloe and Sal Paskowitz wrote the script, centering on a young woman, born at the turn of 20th century, who is rendered ageless after an accident. After years of a solitary life, she meets a man who might be worth losing her immortality.
Steve Golin's Anonymous Content and Ske developed the project before partnering with Lakeshore. Producing will be Steve Golin and Alix Madigan of Anonymous Content, Sidney Kimmel and Lakeshore's Tom Rosenberg and Gary Lucchesi. Executive producers are Heigl, Nancy Heigl and Jim Tauber.
An October start date is planned, and producers are out to directors and talent, including actors for the male lead.
Nick Meyers' Sierra Pictures will handle international distribution.
