Sarah Wayne Callies is opening up about her experience filming Prison Break.
The actress appeared on Rachel Bilson’s podcast Broad Ideas and opened up about the “rampant misogyny” and the challenges she faced being “the only woman around.”
“I mean, like, I’ve had an actor on that show spit in my face. And I was like, ‘Holy s***,'” Callies said.
Callies surprised Bilson and her co-host Olivia Allen at the revelation, with the Prison Break alum saying she “will get there on the podcast” about the series she co-hosts with Paul Adelstein.
“We will talk about it someday, but there were… There were things. Like, I would go home some nights and have to spend an hour talking my husband out of going to hospitalize somebody,” she said.

From the three Korean filmmakers that first made the step towards Hollywood, Park Chan-wook with “Stoker”, Kim Jee-woon with “The Last Stand”, and Bong Joon-ho with “Snowpiercer”, the first one was the most controversial film among the critics, since others considered it a masterpiece and others leveled it lower than Park's South Korean productions. Evidently, Park's English debut has some issues, as the South Korean did not adapt fully to Hollywood aesthetics, but “Stoker” remains a very competent film, while the things Park learned from its shooting definitely helped him change his style for the better in “The Handmaiden”

Prison Break may make another comeback. A new version of the popular Fox series is now in development from Elgin James, co-creator of FX's Mayans Mc. If this new version moves forward, it will air on Hulu, which is the streaming home of the original series.
The original Fox series stars Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Sarah Wayne Callies, Mark Feuerstein, Amaury Nolasco, Robert Knepper, Rockmond Dunbar, Paul Adelstein, Augustus Prew, Rick Yune, and Inbar Lavi, and it aired for five seasons, including a shortened revival of Prison Break in 2017. The show's story begins as structural engineer Michael Scofield (Miller) commits armed robbery. Prison Break may be one of the most resilient shows in television history. Even though the prison break was accomplished during the first season, it managed to stay on the air for an additional three seasons after that. And then, even though its lead character was (supposedly) killed off in the original finale, he and the show managed to reappear for an additional limited series six years later. Now, it’s been revealed that there are plans for a reboot of the show, albeit without the original cast members. Whoever does play the series’s new lead would be wise to heed the words of original star Wentworth Miller, at a fan event a few years back, he talked about how starring on such a dark show exacted a heavy toll on him, both physically and mentally.(Click on the media bar below to hear Wentworth Miller) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.

Just when we thought the Prison Break franchise was over, it sounds like we're getting another series.
Deadline reported this week that Hulu has put a "new incarnation" of the hit drama into development.
Prison Break first aired on Fox in 2005 before being canceled in 2009 after four seasons.
However, Fox aired a limited series revival in 2017 that brought back the show's key players, including Wentworth Miller, Sarah Wayne Callies, and Dominic Purcell.
The next chapter, Deadline notes, is expected to be an entirely new concept but will still take place in the universe of the original series.
Given how Prison Break Season 5 ended, that's probably an excellent idea.
If you watch Prison Break online, you know fans were left upset by the end of the show's original run, which seemingly sealed Michael Scofield's fate.
The ending didn't sit well with fans, and for good reason: It was never supposed to be the end.

Who’s ready to go back behind bars? In a surprise announcement, Deadline reports that Mayans M.C. co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner Elgin James is developing a new Prison Break project for Hulu. Written and executive-produced by James through his Sierra Drive studio, the revised version marks a new chapter of the incarceration thriller.
Elgin is keeping details about the new Prison Break project in solitary. However, Deadline says, “it is not expected to involve the characters who were at the center of the original series and its followups on Fox.” The original Prison Break debuted in 2005, following Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) as two brothers hatching a plan to escape Fox River State Penitentiary. With Lincoln heading for Death Row, it’s only a matter of time before push comes to shove, and the brothers must enact their plan or face the consequences of their actions.

Born Wentworth Earl Miller III, the actor is a third-generation Miller. The name Wentworth, first chosen by his paternal great-grandmother, comes from a character from Jane Austen‘s 1818 Persuasion novel, Captain Wentworth. Miller was born in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire, England, on June 2, 1972. Although he had appeared in several film and television productions, playing Michael Scofield on Fox’s Prison Break gave Miller the recognition and fame he had worked hard to...

Capcom's perennially popular survival horror video game franchise "Resident Evil" has been adapted for both film and television over the years, in live-action and animation. The franchise's cinematic debut began in 2002, loosely following the original game's plot of specialists investigating the nefarious pharmaceutical company the Umbrella Corporation. This leads to Umbrella unleashing the T-Virus, a genetically engineered virus that transforms those infected into ravenous, undead zombies.
While the live-action films have handled the video game source material with varying amounts of fidelity and controversy, there has also been a line of CG animated movies set in the same continuity as the games. Successful worldwide, the "Resident Evil" movies have earned their fair share of fans, including devotees of the games and those new to the franchise. With plenty of films to choose from across the original movie series, 2021 reboot, and animated features, here are the best "Resident Evil" films ranked from worst to best.

Exclusive: Buchwald has upped veteran talent agents Angelo Padilla and Marion Campbell Kammer to Senior Vice President of Talent and Vice President of Talent, respectively. Both are based in the agency’s Los Angeles office.
Padilla has been a rising star at the agency, where he started as an agent in 2011. Padilla began his agency career at ICM where he trained under agent Toni Howard before being promoted in 2007 in the Motion Picture Talent Department. He also had a stint at Greene & Associates Talent Agency before joining Buchwald. Padilla began his career in casting at Cfb Casting.
Padilla has built a roster of clients that includes Essence Atkins (Untitled Wayans, Marlon), Rachel Blanchard (The Summer I Turned Pretty), Neil Brown Jr., Jake Cannavale (The Offer), David Castañeda, Matt Cedeño, Maria Gabriela de Faria, Kimberly Hebert Gregory (Vice Principals), Tim Jo (Reasonable Doubt), Marvin Jones, Richard T. Jones, Poppy Liu, Louis Ozawa, Dar Salim (The Covenant), and Amanda Warren (East New York).
Kammer joined Buchwald at the top of 2021 after a 16-year run at TalentWorks, where she served as VP of Talent. Kammer began her agency career at Coast to Coast Talent Group followed by Gersh, and then eventually joined TalentWorks as an agent in 2005, two years after its launch.
Kammer’s client list includes Fernanda Andrade, Ray Cham (Sort Of, The Big Leap), Amanda Crew (Silicon Valley), Matthew Del Negro, Simone Joy Jones (Bel-Air), Parveen Kaur (Manifest), Jason Lee, Wentworth Miller (Prison Break), Ravi Patel, Tamara Podemski, Judy Reyes as well as Ted Field and his Radar Pictures.
“Angelo and Marion exemplify many of the qualities we value at Buchwald. Their promotions are a direct reflection of their consistent and ongoing commitment to hard work, collaboration, and leadership. One of the most exciting and gratifying components of our continued evolution is getting to acknowledge those who make an extraordinary contribution to our growth and success. In elevating them, we elevate the company,” said Julia Buchwald and Ryan Martin in a joint statement.
Buchwald recently upped Rob Kim to its management team as co-head of the agency’s west coast office, where he serves in this position alongside Ryan Martin and Julia Buchwald, who also serves as the agency’s president.

Over a decade ago a heavily tattooed Michael Schofield got himself busted in Chicago and incarcerated in the premiere of the series Prison Break, which went on to become an international hit. It ran for four seasons, then was brought back for an extra “revival” season five years ago. Speaking at a Comic Con panel, Prison Break star Wentworth Miller said he knew the series would live or die based on the chemistry between the actors in the large ensemble cast. Recalling the first time he started working with colleagues like Robert Knepper, Sara Wayne Callies, and Dominic Purcell, he said he had a great feeling about the show’s chances. (Click on the media bar below to hear Wentworth Miler) https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/08/Wentworth_Milelr-Cheistry_Prison_Break_.mp3 Prison Break is currently streaming on Hulu.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow didn’t start off being an off-the-wall ensemble, but as the various actors’ comedic talents lightened the dire circumstances, the producers pivoted and leaned into the absurdity. As a result, it became one of the freshest concepts on the CW, super-heroic action without as much angst (or shadow). When it worked, it was very entertaining but that came sporadically, oftentimes getting silly when they needed more restraint.
Still, the lovable ever-changing band of heroes has endured through seven seasons and unlike many shows, ended on a high note. All thirteen episodes of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow: The Seventh and Final Season can be enjoyed on the Blu-ray box set from Warner Home Entertainment.
When last we left our stalwart misfits, a Waverider popped into the sky and destroyed the Waverider they were using. Now stranded in 1925, they have to adapt and find a way home.

The CW made a final decision for Legends of Tomorrow last week, and it was not the news fans expected.
The beloved drama series was canceled after seven seasons, and understandably, the cast is emotional about its demise.
Caity Lotz originated the role of Sara Lance on Arrow back when the show premiered in 2012.
She went on to land a lead role on Legends of Tomorrow, alongside Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Franz Drameh, Ciara Renée, Falk Hentschel, Dominic Purcell, and Wentworth Miller.
While the rest of the original cast gradually exited the series, Lotz remained a pivotal figure right up to its cancellation.
“I am bummed! I am sad, I’m going to miss it so much,” Lotz shared on Instagram of the announcement.
“I’m going to miss our amazing cast and crew. But at the same time I recognize how lucky have been to play Sara Lance for this long.

Caity Lotz is understandably sad about Legends of Tomorrow‘s cancellation after seven seasons, yet incredibly grateful to have played Sara Lance for so long.
Lotz of course first played Sara aka Black Canary on Arrow in October 2013, and was a steady presence there (brief death and all!) until The CW decided to spin the hero off into a new series that debuted in January 2016 and originally also starred Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Arthur Darvill, Franz Drameh, Ciara Renée, Falk Hentschel, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will not return for an eighth season.
It marks the end of a long road for the series, which premiered in 2016.
While The CW is known for giving its longer-running series a proper goodbye, this season of Legends ended on a cliffhanger. Sources, however, pointed out that the characters can easily populate other series in the DC Arrowverse so you may see one or two of them in other shows.

Can you believe that Legends of Tomorrow, a show that started off as a home for characters who had completed their arcs on other DC Arrowverse shows, began with a tricky/impenetrable premise, and has since evolved to be one of the weirdest and most unique TV shows around is about to celebrate its 100th episode? Well, we sure can. After all, we’ve been telling everyone who will listen that Legends of Tomorrow is far more than just its superhero TV pedigree and is one of the most delightful hours you can spend in front of a screen each week.

Wentworth Miller took to Instagram this week to reveal that he was diagnosed with autism last year.
"This isn't something I'd change … immediately being autistic is central to who I am. To everything I've achieved/articulated," the Prison Break actor shared.
Along with a photo of a blank white square, he wrote, "This fall marks 1 year since I received my informal autism diagnosis."
"Preceded by a self-diagnosis. Followed by a formal diagnosis. It was a long, flawed process in need of updating," the former Legends of Tomorrow actor shared.
"Imo. I'm a middle-aged man. Not a 5-year-old."
He noted that "access to a diagnosis is a privilege many do not enjoy," admitting that his diagnosis was "a shock," but "not a surprise."
"I don't know enough about autism. (There's a lot to know.)" he declared.
"Right now my work looks like evolving my understanding. Re-examining 5 decades of lived experience thru a new lens.
