Netflix has officially begun production of The Witcher Season 4 and shared a sneak peek of the cast together from the recent table read. The streaming service has also given the green light to Season 5 of The Witcher, which will film back-to-back with Season 4 and will be the final chapter in Geralt’s story.
Seasons 4 and 5 will adapt the remaining Sapkowski books, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake, promising an epic and satisfying conclusion to Netflix’s hit fantasy drama.
After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the fourth season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri, who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other.
If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire and finding one another again.

Where to Watch “The Terror”: Hulu (the series originally aired on AMC)
The men of Season 1 of “The Terror” are confined to their fates well before they realize it. Without detailing too much about the circumstances that end up befalling the Arctic voyages of the Hms Terror and the Hms Erebus, things only get more terrifying as that reality starts to set in for both them and those watching.
Their prospects don’t exactly improve much after, but the middle of the season delivers a particularly jarring one-two punch. After finally coming face-to-face with the creature that’s been lurking beyond the horizon up to that point, Fitzjames (Tobias Menzies) proposes that a bit of celebration might put the crew in better spirits to receive the news that, with supplies dwindling, the only plan left is to leave their ships behind. “We need...

Is AMC’s limited series “The Terror,” based on Dan Simmons‘ best-selling novel about a lost expedition to the Arctic in the 1840s, being underestimated by our Emmy Experts? As of this writing only one pundit — Ben Travers (Indiewire) — predicts that the haunting program will become the cable network’s third Best Limited Series Emmy nominee after “The Night Manager” (2016) and “Broken Trail” (2007). But don’t forget, the Emmys have a love affair with AMC shows.

The first big dramatic crescendo for AMC’s horror-on-the-ice series comes in the third episode of the anthology series, when, in his quixotic quest to discover the Northwest Passage through the Arctic for the British Admiralty, Captain Sir John Franklin (Ciaran Hinds) is violently killed by the monstrous Tuunbaq. Executive producers David Kajganich and Soo Hugh wanted to maintain the show’s ubeer-realistic approach while creating a sequence so evocative viewers felt like they got a glimpse of the mythical creature, even though it remains completely obscured. “One of our first rules on the horror side of the show was to always be a bit closer to the action than the audience is used to being,” Kajganich says. “Our mandate was to infuse this death with a subjective point of view, that we stay in the show’s tone that even death come from a subjective experience,” adds Hugh. “It...

Four episodes were provided prior to broadcast.
The Terror, AMC’s historically-spun horror tale of Arctic exploration gone chillingly wrong, hits slower than its title suggests at first glance, but it still may hook audiences hungry for a 19th-century seafaring screamer.
Adapted from Dan Simmons’ epic 2007 novel of the same name, the miniseries tracks the imagined misfortunes of two Royal Naval bombing ships – the Hms Erebus and Hms Terror – that departed in 1845 on what the British crown hoped to be the most consequential exploration of a generation. They never returned. The expedition’s commander and captain aboard Hms Erebus, Sir John Franklin, attained folk-legend status as a leader who bravely fought a crisis in conditions most would consider uninhabitable.
As told in a brief prologue to the opening hour (“Go for Broke”), The Terror’s central hope is the captain of Hms Terror, Francis Crozier (Jared Harris). A veteran of both Antarctic and Arctic travel,...

Given what his character experienced on Game Of Thrones, we’d think Richard Madden would be worried stepping into another drama about powerful families and their dangerous enemies. But with Dustin Hoffman also signing on, he’s showing no qualms about joining new historical miniseries Medici: Masters Of Florence. X-Files veteran Frank Spotnitz, no stranger to period drama (albeit alt-history) after this year’s The Man In The High Castle show for Amazon, has co-created the series with Nicolas Meyer, who has his own credentials with historical fiction on Time After Time. Sergio Mimica-Gezzan is set to direct all eight episodes of the series in Italy, which will follow the titular family’s rise from simple merchants to an incredibly powerful cartel that helped shepherd and economic and cultural revolution, albeit with plenty of moral grey areas and building a long list of enemies. Madden will be the family’s business-minded son,...

The new trailer for the live-action digital series Halo: Nightfall has the look of both Alien and Prometheus, and rightfully so since Ridley Scott serves as the series' executive producer. You can check out the trailer below.
Halo: Nightfall focuses on a surgically-enhanced agent named Jameson Locke, played by Mike Colter, and his investigation into a biological weapon affecting only humans. A multitude of classic weapons from the series seem to make an appearance, including an energy sword wielded by a Covenant soldier. The story takes place between the events of Halo 4 and the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians.
Sergio Mimica-Gezzan directed the series from a script by Prison Break creator Paul Scheuring. Scott and David Zucker are executive producing the project. Halo: Nightfall will premiere on November 10th, as part of the official HaloFest livestream.

Xbox Entertainment has released four photos from their digital series Halo: Nightfall. They features actor Mike Colter, who plays the lead character Agent Locke. This character will also play a major role in the upcoming video game Halo 5: Guardians.
According to Variety, Colter plays "an agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (Oni) whose team is sent to investigate terrorist activity on a distant colony world and are eventually drawn to an ancient, hellish artifact during their search."
The series is being directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Falling Skies, Battlestar Gallactica) from a script by Paul Scheuring (Prison Break). Colter had this to say in statement:
“The script was incredibly gripping. It introduces an intriguing and mysterious world that I wanted to know more about… My favorite experience thus far would be shooting a scene in Belfast where I’m chasing an enemy who poses a serious threat to the...

Xbox has posted the first photo from the upcoming Ridley Scott-produced and Sergio Mimica Gezzan-directed digital series “Halo: Nightfall," this one a first look at Agent Locke played by Mike Colter ("The Good Wife," "Zero Dark Thirty").
Locke is agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (Oni) whose team is sent to investigate terrorist activity on a distant colony world and are eventually drawn to an ancient, hellish artifact during their search. "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring penned the script.
Locke reportedly plays a major role in “Halo 5: Guardians,” which releases on Xbox One in 2015. Colter admits he was hesitant at first to sign up to a big franchise, telling Variety:
"It was a new medium for me. Who would the audience be? How would they access the series? Fortunately, ensuring accessibility to a broad audience is one of the things that Scott Free TV and 343 values first and foremost.

Alex Kurtzman has pretty much confirmed his old partner's comments from earlier this week that Sony remains undecided about the future of the Spider-Man franchise, namely its spin-offs, at the moment with everything still uncertain:
"Everybody is still figuring it out. It’s all up for grabs, right now. We’re just trying to figure it out. Everything is still on the table, right now. Because it’s a universe outside of the Spider-Man universe, even though it’s connected to it, those movies have to stand on their own.

According to Latino-Review, Christina Chong (who was recently named as the lead actress in Sergio Mimica-Gezzan's live-action Halo: Nightfall) has landed a role in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars Episode VII. There's no word on who she will be playing, but as the production is shooting in the UK, it shouldn't really come as too much of a surprise that they're scooping up a few addition British talents. The site don't have any additional details on who the actress will play, but looking at some of the work she's done in past could indicate that she'll have some action scenes to tackle! We'll be sure to keep you updated, but considering the movie was initially criticised for a lack of women and diversity, they certainly seem to be taking things in the right direction. What do you guys think? ...

Producer Ridley Scott is currently in the process of producing a Halo web-series for Bungie, and at E3 we learned that the title of the show will be Halo: Nightfall.
The project is part of Microsoft's Master Chief Collection, which is an anniversary edition of previous Halo games. The collection and web-series are set to be released for Xbox One in November of this year.
The series is being directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan (Heroes, Under the Dome), and the live-action weekly series will center on the life of Master Chief. According to reports it will tie together the first four Halo games and also lay the narrative groundwork for Halo 5.

Microsoft has announced that they will released Halo 5: Guardians for the Xbox One in the fall of 2015. Around the same time they will also release the Halo TV series that is currently being developed by Steven Spielberg!
Showtime is the cable network that is currently talks with Microsoft’s Xbox Entertainment Studios on a partnership for the highly anticipated series. The episodes would air first on the premium cable network first, and then be available to watch on Xbox.
Bonnie Ross, G.M. of 343 Industries had this to say about the game on Xbox News:

Mike Colter ("The Good Wife," "The Following") is set to star in the "Halo" live-action digital feature project for 343 Industries, Xbox Entertainment Studios and Scott Free Productions.
Not to be confused with the Steven Spielberg-produced "Halo" TV series in development, this film is being penned by "Prison Break" creator Paul Scheuring and is expected to debut before the end of the year.
The movie will follow a similar format to the "Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn" web series and follows a 26th century surgically-enhanced super soldier, though not the famed Master Chief of the video game series.
Colter is expected to play Marlowe, a rising star in a futuristic army who is troubled by aspects of the military industrial complex he inhabits. Approaching combat situations with caution and logic, he inspires loyalty in his fellow Spartans.
Sergio Mimica-Gezzan helms the film which Ridley Scott and David Zucker will executive produce.

Ok, so you know the Halo TV series that Amblin Entertainment is working on for Showtime? This is not it.

There have been lots of talks of a "Halo" movie, but now comes word that the popular video game will be heading to Showtime as a live-action TV series produced by Steven Spielberg. The project has actually been in the works for more than a year, but it's only now that Microsoft is approaching networks. The goal is to create a high-end series in an effort to promote the Xbox platform as an entertainment service. This TV series is not the same as Ridley Scott's "Halo" project that was announced recently. That one is to be directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan from a script by Paul Scheuring ("Prison Break"). It's believed that it will be a web series or be part of the video games.

You knew it was only a matter of time. Pretty soon, look forward to new shows from your microwave and blender. Xbox will launch Xbox: Originals this June with 12 projects. They will be available on Xbox 360, Xbox One, and other Microsoft devices, and, of course, the shows will offer "interactive capabilities." To prove they're not kidding around, Xbox Entertainment Studios has attracted names like Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott, who are attached to two separate scripted projects based on the “Halo” franchise. Because hey, you can never get enough "Halo." Other shows in production include an unscripted series about international street soccer, an original drama about robotic servants in a dystopian world, and a documentary about the search for discarded Atari games in...

Xbox is stepping up its efforts to become an original programming player in the digital space with its first development slate, which includes dramas, live-action and animated comedies, unscripted and event series. The company first signaled its entrance into original programming at the unveiling of Xbox One a year ago when Xbox Entertainment Studios president Nancy Tellem announced a drama series based on the popular video game Halo with Steven Spielberg executive producing. That project is still in a development/deal-making stage, but Xbox is moving forward with several other game titles which it plans to turn into series — both scripted and unscripted — Age Of Empires, State Of Decay, Fable, Forza Motorsport and Gears Of War. The announcement was made at a presentation Tellem and Xbox’s newly appointed Evp Jordan Levin held last week. The two also confirmed that a second Halo digital feature, a follow-up to Forward Unto Dawn,...

Microsoft have announced today that Ridley Scott is currently working on a Halo digital feature. A press release revealed that Xbox Entertainment Studios and Scott Free Productions – Scott’s own company – “are proud to announce a new Halo…project to be released later this year.” The director, who is responsible for kick-starting the Alien franchise and directing the sci-fi, dystopian film Blade Runner, is attached as executive producer.
The digital feature is set to be directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, who has worked on several episodes of Battlestar Galactica, while the creator of the TV series Prison Break, Paul Scheuring, will potentially be attached to the project as a writer.
This latest Halo news is similar to the announcement of the TV adaptation of the popular Fps title, which is being produced by Steven Spielberg. However, while the latter is said to be a live-action feature, neither project is being described as a Halo movie.
