- Mike Moran began his musical career studying at the Royal College of Music in London, England. An accomplished pianist, Mike has been a member of various groups including Blue Mink, Gillan and Stone The Crows. Over the last 30 years he has worked with such well known artists as Cliff Richard, Paul McCartney, Freddie Mercury, Stevie Wonder, Lynsey de Paul, Joe Cocker, Paul Simon, Kate Bush, Roger Glover and George Harrison. More recently he has also ventured into the world of opera with 'Monserat Caballe', 'Placido Domingo' and 'Jose Carreras'. He has composed music for a number of films including Time Bandits (1981), Death Wish 3 (1985), Betrayal (1983) and Whoops Apocalypse (1986). - Other successful songs co-written by Mike and Lynsey include "Let Your Body Go Downtown" which reached number 38 in the U.K. top 40 in 1977.
- Together with Lynsey de Paul represented the U.K. in the 1977 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Rock Bottom" which was written by both of them. They came second and went on to have a huge hit in many European countries (Swiss #1, Austrian #2, German #4, French #10, U.K. #19).
