Aaa continues to be the talk of the wrestling world following Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio’s participation with the Mexican promotion. The company held their largest event of the year, Triplemania, opposite WWE’s SummerSlam and drew a sellout crowd to the Arena Ciudad in Mexico City. Now, Aaa has officially announced a new television show to air in the United States on the El Rey Network.
The show — which is titled “Lucha Underground” — will premiere on October 8th of this year. Aaa will make their American debut on El Rey — a network started by famed filmmaker, Robert Rodriguez. Together, the two companies are hyping a revolutionary wrestling product, which is to be produced by One Three Media — owned by Emmy-winning reality television producer Mark Burnett.
Burnett, the show’s Executive Producer, stated that, “Not since ‘The Contender’ premiere has a new series combined this level of drama and athletic competition.

Smackdown! October 21st 2011.
We are in Mexico City, Mexico for Smackdown! And who better to join us first but Mexico’s own WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio! And he gets himself a nice response as Michael Cole, Josh Matthews and Booker T welcome us to the show. Del Rio brings up his Last Man Standing match against John Cena. Then he says tonight’s match against Big Show wont be happening after the attack from John Cena on Monday. Del Rio said it was his dream to come here and compete for Mexico but John Cena took it away, so this Sunday he will make Cena pay. And then, something in Spanish. I’m not here to translate though so figure that out yourselves. Teddy Long lands out on stage. Teddy said the doctors say Del Rio is cleared to compete. Teddy asks the people if they want to see Del Rio vs.

Friday Night Smackdown! October 14th 2011
9 Days before Vengeance, we are in Dallas and Teddy Long is kicking off the show. And joining him on stage is the new interim General Manager, John Laurinaitis. God I hate spelling that. He’s Johnny Ace from now on. Long reminds us that tonight’s Smackdown becomes second longest running episodic television show behind Raw. Ace says he’s here lending Raw support. Long announces the largest Battle Royal in WWE history, Ace adds that the winner gets to choose a title and get a match Tonight! “If you’re ready to see this Battle Royal start right now. Give me a Holla Holla Holla!” And I assume someone gave him one, because here comes the entire Raw roster followed closely by Smackdown. Matt Striker is even wrestling.
41 Man Battle Royal for a Title Shot of Winner’s Choosing

Live from New Orleans
Miz and R-Truth had brought tickets to see the show but Laurentis came down with security and had them escorted out of the arena.
Match: Sheamus defeated Christian via pinfall
Solid opener. Sheamus was on top early but after being knocked off the top turnbuckle to the outside he appeared to lose his bearings and could often barely stand whilst throwing erratic punches. They put this over really well during several mat exchanges and it made Sheamus look very courageous in the process.
After numerous counters and reversals it appeared that Christian had the match won when he took out Sheamus with a sphere on the outside and another one inside the ring but this only earnt him a near fall. Sensing that he had to raise the stakes somewhat Christian went to the top rope and attempted a diving headbutt but Sheamus rolled out of the way.
