TORONTO -- Canadian cartoon producer Studio B Prods. on Wednesday said it has promoted Kirsten Newlands to head of production and hired Anthony Jiwa away from VIZ Media to become its director of marketing.
Jiwa led the marketing effort at VIZ, responsible for properties including Pokemon and Naruto, before joining Vancouver-based Studio B to help build its profile in international markets and across all digital platforms.
Newlands worked most recently as a producer on the first season of "Puca". Before that, she was an associate producer on feature films including Garav Seth's "Pink Ludoos" and Carl Bessai's "Severed".
Studio B is currently producing "Ricky Sprocket -- Showbiz Boy" for Nickelodeon Networks and "George of the Jungle" for the Cartoon Network.
