Leslie Parkyn(1918-1983)

Born in 1918 Leslie Parkyn started off in films in the early fifties as
an executive producer, firstly in association with Sergei Nolbandovwho.
The pair are responsible for some great features including 'It started
in Paradise' (1952) and 'The Kidnappers' (1953). In 1958 he co-founded
Independent Artists with Julian Wintle and went on to make several
decent comedies, usually starring Leslie Phillips, James Robertson
Justice and Stanley Baxter. He died in 1983.
