Moultrie Patten was born on June 10, 1919 in Detroit, Michigan, USA. He was an actor, known for Free Willy (1993), The Favor (1994) and Northern Exposure (1990). He was married to Parker McCormick, Miriam Ryan, Margaret Lucille Hall and Teena Patten. He died on March 18, 2009 in Beaverton, Oregon, USA.
Awarded the Silver Star for heroism as a tank commander at the battle of Monte Cassino in 1944.
Was also a jazz pianist and singer. Recorded a CD of his favorite jazz songs in 1997.
Attended Brown University.
Appeared in many plays after World War II, in venues ranging from community theater to Broadway. Claimed that his favorite plays that he appeared in were "The Andersonville Trial," "The Hostage" and "Noises Off.".
