- From 1920 he impersonated first roles in silent movies, among them "Das Fest der schwarzen Tulpe" (1920 )and "Gretchen Schubert" (1926). Afterwards followed a longer interruption where he concentrated to the theater again.
- The actor Erich Poremski began his career as an operetta singer in Cottbus, it followed engagements in Bremen and Berlin. There he was not only active as a stage actor but also took over the management of the Thalia theater in 1922.
- He only returned to the film business after World War II and he acted in numerous feature movies and TV productions.
- He was also busy for radio plays and dubbing international movies.
