Alexander Ramati was born in 1920 in Brzesc, Poleskie, Poland [now Brest, Belarus]. He was a writer and producer, known for
Sands of Beersheba (1964),
And the Violins Stopped Playing (1988) and
Beyond the Mountains (1967). He was married to Didi Ramati. He died on February 18, 2006 in Montreux, Switzerland.
