Attack of the Meth Gator lets you know what you’re in for right from the start as cops raid a Florida meth lab only to have its operators make a run for it. As Shane wades across the swamp, he drops a bag of meth. That’s when we see a giant gator’s snout twitch as if it’s smelling something. Then it goes straight for the meth, then goes for Shane, and one of the cops in a drug-induced frenzy.
In response, Mayor Jensen (Nick Wilson) hires Skylar and Twain (Tristen Amason) to take care of the gator discreetly, and before the tourists start arriving for the Memorial Day Weekend. Needless to say, they quickly become gator chow instead. Sheriff Williams...

With Super Bowl Lvii on the horizon, Paramount+ is giving everyone an early look at an upcoming promo. The ad stars Tulsa King’s Sylvester Stallone, his daughters, and cast members from various Star Trek series, Beavis and Butt-Head, Reno 911, and Dora the Explorer! While the advert features several characters from a variety of shows, the commercial is, more or less, an elaborate promo for The Family Stallone, a new reality show coming to Paramount+ this Spring in the U.S. and Canada.
In the ad, Stallone channels his inner Gabe Walker to scale Paramount’s Mountain of Entertainment. The landscape includes a mountain in the shape of Stallone’s face. As various Paramount characters look on, Stallone attempts to climb the cliff, unaware the crag is about to sneeze. As Dora the Explorer, Anson Mount, Tom Lenon, and others look on in horror, Stallone’s family assures them he...

A reclusive circus master invites a group of social media stars to his house of haunts. Anyone who can make it out before being scared into submission will earn $250,000 – but they soon learn they are not only competing for money, but also fighting for their lives…
At the beginning of Circus Kane, circus master Balthazar Kane (Tim Abell) says “Nothing is for free. If it’s too good to be true it probably is”. This would have been good advice for a group of naive social media stars. Offered $250,00 if they can make it through a new haunted house attraction without being scared into submission, it really does seem too good to be true.

It seems oh-so-obvious, but would you believe me if I told you that 3-Headed Shark Attack is a sequel to the 2012 film 2-Headed Shark Attack? Well it is. It seems oh-so-obvious, but would you believe me if I told you that 3-Headed Shark Attack is a sequel to the 2012 film 2-Headed Shark Attack? Well it is. And both films come from Christopher Olen Ray, son of legendary (well at least in my house) B-movie director Fred Olen Ray, and director of the fantastic, and criminally over-looked, action flick Mercenaries. Ray is also one of the best director that purveyors of Syfy channel shlock, The Asylum, currently have on their roster.

Starring Zoe Bell (Raze), Vivica A. Fox (Kill Bill), Kristanna Loken (Terminator 3), Brigitte Nielsen (Rocky IV) and Cynthia Rothrock (China O’Brien), Mercenaries is the latest movie from purveyors of all things exploitation The Asylum, who it seems are getting the jump on their Hollywood counterparts by releasing what is essentially an all-female take on The Expendables.
The official synopsis reads thus:
A diplomatic official is captured and imprisoned while touring a war zone, so a team of elite female commandoes is assembled to infiltrate a women’s prison for a daring rescue.
Which is less of a synopsis and more of an excuse to see some fantastic butt-kicking action from the cast which includes two of the best female action stars ever – Zoe Bell (who kicks mucho arse in the recently released Raze) and the legend that is Cynthia Rothrock.

Actress Lynn Lowry has joined the cast of Sam Qualiana’s upcoming found footage monster movie The Legend of Six Fingers, according to author and filmmaker Gregory Lamberson, who is producing.
Writer-director Qualiana and Lamberson previously collaborated on Snow Shark: Ancient Snow Beast and worked together on Chris Olen Ray’s Battledogs and Debbie Rochon’s Model Hunger. It's the reign of the robots on screen, even though Spielberg's Robopocalypse went back to the drawing board for a total rethink.

Continuing the trend but on a much smaller scale is Robot & Frank, which will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on March 8, 2013.

As a child of the 1980s, I raised myself on a steady diet of terrible zero-budget cable slasher flicks. I would scour the TV Guide to check out what was playing that night, and keep my fingers crossed that my parents would go to bed before my movie would start, so I could sneak into the living room and watch it (at a very, very low volume, lest it wake them.) Brinke Stevens, one of the three "original" scream queens (along with Linnea Quigley and Michelle Bauer) was a frequent star of these cheap little flicks. With over 150 titles to her credit, picking out even a handful of her most well-known credits is tough, but let's try. Slumber Party Massacre, Sorority Babes in the Slime Ball Bowl-a-Rama, and Haunting Fear all spring to mind. After over 30 years in the horror industry, she, Linnea, and Michelle finally have a documentary, Screaming in High Heels.
