If you’re a fan of St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay and support his reelection, you may want to steer clear of the Tivoli Theater this Wednesday evening, February 20th. The primary election is less than a month away (March 5th) and the battle for Mayor has gotten heated. Board of Alderman President Lewis Reed looks seems to be the best hope of unseating Slay, who has been Mayor of our city for 12 years. Wednesday evening at 7pm, a new documentary about St. Louis racial politics titled Bootlicker from RiverCity Xaminer Films is making its world premiere. Admission is $10 and “Seating is Limited” (which makes me think it must be in one of the smaller theaters that seats just 140)
