- Maurice Renard was born on February 28, 1875 in Châlons-sur-Marne, Marne, France [now Châlons-en-Champagne]. He was a writer, known for The Hands of Orlac (1924), Mad Love (1935) and The Hands of Orlac (1960). He died on November 18, 1939 in Rochefort, Charente-Maritime, France.
