It's been a long time coming, but Marvel's first family has officially rounded into form. In a shocking and out-of-nowhere announcement this morning, Marvel Studios dropped the bombshell on fans everywhere in a series of social media posts. Simply titled "The Fantastic 4," the studio's long-awaited reboot of the popular comic book superhero team now has a snazzy new logo, release date, and a surprising (and not-so-surprising) cast to go along with it. We already knew that Pedro Pascal had signed on the dotted line to play Reed Richards, but rumors surrounding the rest of the quartet had continued unabated. Well, put those to rest as we can now say that Pascal will be joined by "Mission: Impossible" star Vanessa Kirby as Susan Richards, "The Bear" star Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben/GrimmThe Thing, and "Stranger Things" Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm. How's that for a flex?
And now, about that logo.
And now, about that logo.

Here it is, the penultimate chapter of Marvel’s best crossover in almost a decade, and boy does it crank everything up to 11! This is the final battle that reader’s have been waiting all summer and fall for, the multiverse altering climax of Jonathan Hickman’s run on both Fantastic Four and Avengers/New Avengers. After slowly building to this moment over the previous five issues, readers are rewarded with one of the best issues of the miniseries, as this issue is filled with blockbuster moments, memorable characterizations, and, in typical Hickman fashion, insight into the divine.
Issue #8 does everything right, and yet readers who have been following Hickman since his Fantastic Four: Dark Reign miniseries will find extra hidden gems in this issue as well. From the reiteration that Galactus,...

I’ll admit it right up front; I grew up with Iron Man as my favorite Marvel super-hero. I can’t say why exactly, although I really liked the armor and the gadgets and when Gene Colan began drawing his adventures, I loved the artwork.
So, you might imagine, I was predisposed to enjoy the movie now out on DVD. The idea that Iron Man would ever become a feature film was one I never really imagined and all through the years o development, I kept hoping. Still, as cool as it might have been to see Tom Cruise as Tony Stark or see what Nick Cassavettes would have done as a director, I was perfectly content with Jon Favreau as the director. After all, from the moment he started writing on MySpace, you could tell he got it. He understood what set the character apart.
Whereas fantastic things happened to Peter Parker,...
