Netflix’s glamorous period series “Bridgerton” dropped last month, giving romance fans a gorgeous eight-episode escape from the pandemic. And if you’ve already started to binge the series — or are starting your re-binge following Thursday’s Season 2 renewal — you probably noticed that accompanying the stunning costumes, lavish ballroom scenes and witty dialogue is a soundtrack filled with classical covers of modern songs.
It might be a little hard to put your finger on exactly what song you’re listening to, as the “Bridgerton” covers truly make these pop tracks sound like they were made for string quartets. But don’t worry, because TheWrap has the complete soundtrack listing for all the covers below.
Based on Julia Quinn’s romance novel series of the same name, “Bridgerton” follows Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family, as she makes her debut onto Regency London’s competitive marriage market.

(Warning: Major spoilers ahead for Netflix’s “Bridgerton” through the Season 1 finale.)
The Shonda Rhimes-produced “Bridgerton” adaptation hit Netflix on Christmas Day, introducing fans of the Julia Quinn novels — and a whole new audience — to the romantic tales of the titular family. And narrating all the dramatic events throughout Season 1 is Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews), a mysterious member of London’s high society who writes a regular column detailing the most scandalous gossip from the coming-out season.
Though she plays a pivotal role in “Bridgerton,” it’s not until the final moments of the Season 1 finale that viewers find out the identity of Lady Whistledown — but boy, is it worth the wait. Of course, if you’re not able to wait until the finale to learn who she really is, TheWrap is here to give you the answer.

“All is fair in love and war.”
These are the first words heard in the official trailer for Netflix’s newest drama series, “Bridgerton,” and they certainly set the scene. They are spoken by none other than Julie Andrews, who serves as the series’ faceless narrator –- the ever-mysterious Lady Whistledown, who also writes a gossip column highlighting the scandalous lives of London’s elite.
With continued narration from Whistledown, the trailer introduces Daphne Bridgerton (Phoebe Dynevor), the eldest daughter of the powerful Bridgerton family, and the Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), a bachelor with a bad reputation. As Daphne attends balls and other high society events, she can’t seem to escape the Duke – or the biting criticism of Whistledown, who declares Daphne ineligible.
So, the two team up and enter a faux romance, with Daphne hoping to prove Whistledown wrong and the Duke wanting to escape the mothers...

Shonda Rhimes took her talents to Netflix when she signed a mega overall deal with the streaming service in 2018, and with the teaser for “Bridgerton” released Monday, we’ve finally got a taste of what the prolific producer has been cooking up for her first project under the pact. The best way we can describe it is if you mashed up “Downton Abbey” with Rhimes’ “Scandal” — and we have no objections to the result.
In the video, which you can view here and above, you’ll be introduced to the Regency-era high society at the center of “Bridgerton” by Lady Whistledown (voiced by Julie Andrews), a mysterious woman who is narrating this tale and writing up columns full of dirt about everyone in town. We have no idea what scandal she’s about to uncover, but we’ll be tuning in to find out when the show drops Christmas Day on Netflix.

Who is Lady Whistledown? That is the question at the center of the first teaser for Netflix’s “Bridgerton.”
In the upcoming eight-episode hourlong drama from Shondaland, Lady Whistledown is a mysterious author of a gossip newsletter that has provided much entertainment during the recent years’ social seasons. But this time around, she is naming names.
Voiced by Julie Andrews in narration of her different pages, the character clearly has eyes and ears all around, despite claiming, “You don’t know me and never shall” in the teaser, which you can watch above.

7.13 Bury Me Here
Throughout this season of The Walking Dead, there has only been one character amongst the Kingdom of King Ezekiel who has been trying to push the plot forward. Richard, who got beaten up by Daryl, who has tried to get Morgan to speak out in favour or war, who knows what happens when you sit around and wait for other people to do something when you need to be the one who does something, has been the only person in the Kingdom who has been rattling the saber. Of course, he's been foiled at every turn, and he's consistently had his decisions turn bad on him, but at least he's trying something.

So, for the third time this season, a recon party from the Kingdom drives out of town to deliver their tribute to a group from the Saviors. In each of the earlier trips, tensions have run high, and one of the jerkier soldiers on Negan's team has gotten snippy with Richard, Ezekiel's top lieutenant. And from the moment all the King's men roll into the drop-zone – short one cantaloupe, as we soon find out – the scene is fraught with danger. Inevitably, push comes to shove, Somebody gets killed.

I hope you like children's music, because you're going to hear a lot of it in this episode. Specifically, the bulk of the episode is set to the happy little tune Easy Street by a band called Collapsible Hearts Club. You'll hear it over, and over, and over again, as The Walking Dead follows along the torture of Daryl Dixon with the single-minded determination of a walker chained to a lead on a fence. There are a lot of those this episode, and there are a lot of shots of Daryl laying on a dirty concrete floor, either clad in dirty sweats or clad in his dirty skin.

The opening of tonight's Walking Dead played like an homage to one of the greatest moments in the history of zombie movies. In the middle of the original Dawn of the Dead, director George A. Romero eases the tension for a few minutes with a funny montage of how comfortable life has become for his human heroes, barricaded inside their fully stocked shopping mall. They feast. They try on clothes. They play racquetball. Then Romero jolts the audience with a shot of the teeming hordes of the undead massing just outside the door,...

Alexandria's routines start to chafe in the latest gory episode of The Walking Dead season 6, Twice As Far...
This review contains spoilers.
6.14 Twice As Far
The curse of The Walking Dead returns. Throughout the show's run, it's seemed that the moment a character came to some sort of realization about life in the post-apocalypse, they spent a lot of time making speeches about it and then immediately died. That seemed to be changing a little bit, with more characters appearing to be allowed to grow without immediate death, and then Denise happened. Two steps forward, one step back, all in the name of shock.
Denise, like all the Alexandrians, has been trying to adapt to a world in which they haven't been forced to participate until Rick and the gang arrived and shattered their illusion of safety via misadventure. The Wolves came, Walkers came, and everyone in Alexandria banded together,...
