We’re a bit surprised that AMC hasn’t officially announced The Walking Dead Season 4 yet. After breaking numerous records with the first eight episode of Season 3, a fourth season is inevitable and we’ll pass on the official announcement as soon as it’s made.
Until then, we have the next best thing to AMC issuing a press release. Last week, Stalwart Films spokesman Mike Riley announced to the Coweta County Commission that The Walking Dead would return to Senoia next year for filming of The Walking Dead Season 4:
Via TheCitzen.com: “Stalwart Films spokesman Mike Riley made the announcement Thursday at the meeting of the Coweta County Commission as he thanked the county and its residents for their support of the AMC network’s hit show, ‘The Walking Dead.’

It's not official yet, but thanks to some words from David Morrissey, the actor playing the dreaded Governor in Season 3 of "The Walking Dead", we can be fairly confident the series is heading to this year's Sdcc. Now if only the powers-that-be would put them in Hall H!
During a recent chat with TV Guide Magazine, the actor was asked what he's most looking forward to about joining "The Walking Dead" and said, "It's the right show at the right time. My family will be joining me in Atlanta. I've known Andrew Lincoln [Rick] from around London; we have mutual friends. And I get to go to Comic-Con."
Be sure to hit up that link for a bit more from Morrissey on how's he's preparing for the role.
Now, switching gears a bit, here's a Q&A with "The Walking Dead" Season 3 Location Manager Mike Riley about what makes the South...

AMC has posted another “Dispatches From the Set” interview feature. This week, we hear from location manager Mike Riley, who talks about selecting locations for The Walking Dead Season 3. This is one of the men responsible for selecting the location of Woodbury and areas we’ve seen in the past seasons, so it’s interesting to read about some of the challenges he faces:
“Q: What’s been the most challenging location to secure for The Walking Dead thus far?
A: The problem we’ve run into is our writers are in Los Angeles, and they’re sitting inside a building somewhere making this stuff up, and a lot of what they write may not be physically possible to do in the area of the state that we’re in.
Q: Can you think of a specific example?
A: There was an upcoming script where the writer wanted this river...

One might think that being upgraded to “series regular” on The Walking Dead would give an actor a sense of relief, of stability, of job security. Until that actor remembers – “wait, it’s The Walking Dead.” Shane, Dale, even Sophia… all regulars. It could also mean more screen time… until that actor remembers T-Dog.
Still, TVLine broke the news that congratulations are in order for Lauren Cohan (Glenn’s girlfriend Maggie) for getting the bump up to full-fledged One Of The Gang! Congratulations! And… good luck!
In other The Walking Dead news, the city of Senoia, Georgia, will be a primary shooting location for Season 3 (the church in episode 1 of season 2 was in Senoia). Online Georgia news site TheCitizen.com reports that The Walking Dead location manager Mike Riley at the April 2 meeting of the Senoia City Council gave an overview of the third season that is now in pre-production.
