Mirayda Levi was born in Peru, where at 4 years old she won a dancing
competition on a National Tv Network and shared moments with Peruvian
celebrities introduced by her father Rafael "Chato" Rios, an
accomplished musician. For her tenth birthday she moved with her family
to Venezuela where she began her acting career and performed in more
than a dozen Theater productions. At 21 she moved by herself to the US,
to the city of San Francisco, where she continued working with
different theater companies, touring and participating in festivals.
Two years later, she took the lead role after her first audition in
Hollywood, for AFI's "The Ballad of Tina Juarez". She moved to Los
Angeles and worked in many other TV shows, movies, commercials and
plays. Mirayda converted to Judaism, got married for a second time and
moved to live in Israel for a couple of years. She returned to America,
and after a second divorce continued working as an actress. Mirayda has
two children from her second husband. She is also a singer, songwriter,
producer, in 2005 she got two Latin Grammy PreNominations for her debut
album "Latin Lover".
