The film “Real Steel” is due to come out this October, but while the film boasts the latest 3D technology to create the fighting robots, Los Angeles-based artist Christian Ristow makes machines that can be viewed in real life. Ristow’s art includes moving sculptures and robots He describes his moving sculptures and robot performances as “a provocative mix of post-apocalyptic mayhem and playful iconoclasm” and has had his work featured in La Magazine, La Weekly and the Discovery Channel’s “Robots Rising”.
