Served with
Russ Meyer in World War II as a U.S. Army combat
photographer in the 166th Signal Photographic Company along with other
future associates of Meyer, including
Bill Teas and became a longtime friend and business associate of Meyer. He almost went broke financing some of Meyers' movies. He was also one of the trustees appointed to oversee Meyer's affairs when
he became ill. He owned and operated Modern Studio Photography in Highland Park (Pasadena, California).
