Exclusive: France TV Distribution will be at Series Mania next week with Enjoy!, a drama series based on Benoit Marchisio’s novel Tout Complices!.
The series was originally created for France Télévisions’ streamer France.tv Slash and is now headed for the international market via the sales arm of the public broadcast network.
It follows a delivery boy for fictional home-delivery app Enjoy!, who lands a dream job as an intern on a 24-hour news channel with a reactionary editorial line. His destiny soon collides with Igor, an ambitious young lawyer who dreams of defending great cases.
Written by Marchisio and Katell Guillou, the series stars Jean-Désiré Augnet, Camille Moutawakil, Baptiste Carrion-Weiss and Bruno Salomone. Lionel Méta is the director and Le Collectif 64 is the producer.
Marchisio is a France Télévisions international co-productions exec, meaning a trip to Series Mania to launch the series will be nothing out of the ordinary.

Seemingly channeling the spirit of Claude Chabrol, Antoine Barraud’s Madeleine Collins is a decidedly classy throwback thriller about a seemingly humdrum character committing perverse acts of subterfuge against others. Barraud’s film follows Judith Fauvet (Virginie Efira), a translator living in France with her successful conductor husband, Melvil (Bruno Salomone), and two sons. But, it turns out, Judith is living a second life.
Under the guise of the near-constant travel required for her work, Judith has a second family in Switzerland, where boyfriend Abdel (Quim Gutierrez) primarily cares for their young daughter, Ninon (Loïse Benguerel). Barraud and co-screenwriter Klotz outline the delicate balancing act required on Judith’s part to keep her double life a secret, and the narrative displays a compelling psychological nuance due to the focus on the far-reaching effects of her deception.
By homing in on the feelings of the secondary characters, the filmmakers poignantly articulate...

"You lie all the time to everyone. You scare me." Greenwich Entertainment has revealed a new official US trailer for a French thriller titled Madeleine Collins, starring the wonderfully talented actress Virginie Efira. This one originally premiered at film festivals back in 2021, opening in France later in 2021, though it has taken two more years to finally show up in the US for a proper release. Judith leads a double life: two lovers, two sons in France and one daughter in Switzerland. Entangled in secrets and lies, her lives begin to shatter. Reviews say the film features the "elegance and suspense of Hitchcock." Starring Virginie Efira as the woman with many lives, Jacqueline Bisset, Nadav Lapid, Nathalie Boutefeu, Quim Gutiérrez, and Bruno Salomone. Reviews also say this is a "stunning portrait of a monster," that is "not a mystery but a character study as a mystery." This one looks like it gets intense!

A woman walks through the evening dress section of an elegant department store. The camera follows her as if it were one of the discreet sales people. The pace is calm. Audrey Hepburn's Holly Golightly in Breakfast At Tiffany's may come to mind with her explanation about Tiffany’s as a place where nothing really bad can happen. Which of course is wishful thinking. The woman enters a dressing room. She faints. Something happens offscreen and the film moves into a different gear. Benedetta star Virginie Efira plays a woman leading a double life in drama Madeleine Collins which premiered in the Venice Days section of the Venice Film Festival today. Also doubling up in Venice by serving on the competition jury, Efira puts in a terrific performance in Antoine Barraud’s taut relationship pic that veers into thriller territory.
Efira’s translator is a sophisticated, busy working woman whose job is the perfect cover for her many trips away from home. But where’s home? Is it in Switzerland in a flat with Abdel (Quim Gutiérrez) and her young daughter? Or is it in a glamorous place in France, with Melvil (Bruno Salomone) and their two adolescent sons? The fact that she’s known as ‘Judith’ in the latter and ‘Margot’ in the former increases the intrigue.
Much of Madeleine Collins’ early power is in its mysteries, and piecing the puzzle together keeps you engaged.

“Everyone had the right to love and a bone.” That’s just one of the many canine insights served up by “Marona’s Fantastic Tale,” a dazzling expressionistic view of the world through the eyes of a stray dog who wants nothing more than those two comforts. Actually, the unassuming narrator (Lizzie Brochere) — who looks like the black-and-white version of painter George Rodrigue’s “Blue Dog” — would also appreciate if her various owners could just settle on what to call her, preferably a name that no one else has. Given the title, that’s perhaps the only detail audiences can anticipate in Romanian animator Anca Damian’s unexpected offering, which provides pleasures for all ages, but especially for dog lovers.
For Damian, the Paris-set “Marona” (which exists in both French- and Romanian-language versions) marks a significant departure both in tone and style from her previous work, most notably “Crulic – The Path to Beyond,...

A Cat in Paris
Directed by Jean-Loup Felicioli and Alain Gagnol
Written by Jacques-Rémy Girerd and Alain Gagnol
France, 2010
As contentious as every Oscar inevitably is, one of the few areas of consistency is in the Best Animated Feature category (and perhaps the Best Documentary Feature). The 84th Academy Awards saw five worthy candidates, including France’s A Cat in Paris, and although it certainly merits a nomination, the film lacks the form of its fellow contenders. Animated with artistry and distinct visual appeal, A Cat in Paris never truly actualizes its self-imposed expectations.
In Paris, a cat named Dino leads an auspicious double life. By day, Dino is the loyal, loving pet of Zoé (Oriane Zani), a young taciturn little girl. By night, Dino becomes an accomplice to Nico (Bruno Salomone), a prolific cat burglar that roams the rooftops of the city.

After the loss of her father, Zoe (Oriane Zani) has retreated into a world of silence and isolation. Distant from her resolute Police officer mother Jeanne (Dominique Blanc), Zoe’s only true advocate in life is her black and orange cat Dino. The two share a loving and mutual relationship, but Dino has a secret: At night he is an accomplice to cat-burglar Nico (Bruno Salomone).
In case you have not heard, France is all the rage right now. The French are dominating American cinema [see The Artist and Hugo], whilst American cinema is obsessing with the French [see Midnight in Paris, TinTin and The Three Musketeers]. Over 75% of the recent Oscar accolades were, in some way, awarded to or due to French involvement. It seems that the West has written a billet doux to our baguette baking cousins, and one can only hope that this is a belle époque rather than just cinema du jour (I think that’s...

Joucla and Dujardin were once members of the sketch comedy troupe Nous C Nous, with Bruno Salomone, Eric Massot and Eric Collado, who will all join the recent Oscar winner for the project. Dujardin‘s real wife, Alexandra Lamy and her sister Audrey, along with Shirley Bousquet and Florence Foresti will be joining the comedic fun as well. Although the French media got wind of the project today, a rep for the film’s director, Manu Joucla, refused to give any details about the project.
