Janet Margolin, she and Jennifer began a two-woman catering business during a short break from acting. Woody Allen used that business as the inspiration for the Stanislavsky Catering Company in Hannah and Her Sisters (1986).

Appeared in the (now legendary) film her father Waldo Salt wrote (adapted), Midnight Cowboy, playing "Crazy Annie" who appears through surreal flashbacks from the title character Jon Voight's mind.

she studied under Sanford Meisner. Attended the High School of Performing Arts in New York City.
