Warning: This Video Is Very Gruesome Now this may not be your typical horror article but we like taking stories and spinning them on there heads so to speak. We are calling it "Gruesome Wednesday" because throughout the day the media has used the term "gruesome" more than us horror fans have used to describe a movie possibly in our entire lives. Thanks to our friend William Sanders for the audio we put this little "viral" video together to show…...

Indie film writer and director William Sanders has been on a whirlwind of emotions this past week as his dream of directing his vision of a Halloween spin off, "Last Supper: The Russelville Hacksaw Murders" is getting plenty of attention in the world of horror. Today we got a chance to catch up with William for a little one on one interview...
First things first, how did you get started in film-making and what are some of the films that left an impression on you at an early age?
I am a film fanatic and have been in and around the business in one form or another my whole life. Until recently, I was more of a promoter helping promote mainstream to indie films, horror sites and conventions. I have written many scripts and stories, none published, just for fun. Last Supper will be my first film to direct, but...

A couple of weeks ago we told you about the latest spin-off from the Halloween franchise (Carpenter's universe, not Zombie's), Last Supper: The Russellville Hacksaw Murders, and now a bit of early teaser art has surfaced that is sporting some teeth!
Last Supper is based on what is basically throw-away dialogue from John Carpenter’s Halloween. In the film Dr. Loomis goes to a cemetery in search of Judith Myers’ grave. While in search of the grave marker, the graveyard keeper tells Dr. Loomis a story about Charlie Bowles, but in the middle of his story he is interrupted by Loomis about Michael Myers, and Carpenter’s story of Halloween continues from there.
For reference the dialogue is as follows: "Every town has something like this happen. I remember a guy over in Russellville. Charlie Bowles. About fifteen year ago he finished dinner, excused himself from the table, went out...

Every town has a story and the peaceful little midwestern town of Russellville, Illinois is no different. The story is about Charlie Bowles a respected theatre owner and loving father, who until one Halloween Night was respected by his fellow townsfolk. In one night his unthinkable acts changed and rattled a town forever.

If you're wondering what the hell anything called Last Supper: The Russelville Hacksaw Murders has to do with John Carpenter's original Halloween , bust out that nerd cap and do some serious thinking. Hint: Remember that scene in Halloween when Dr. Loomis visits Judith Myers' grave and is told a story, by the groundskeeper about Charlie Bowles? Well, Bowles' murder spree is the crutch of Last Supper , an indie film written and directed by William Sanders that hopefully brings more to the table than the fan film wanking we see on You Tube. "In my research for this script and film, I have found that Charlie Bowles was a real man from John Carpenter's past," says Sanders. "Rumor has it that he lives in Russellville, Ky, near Bowling Green and was a theater...
