Was awarded "Women's Wear Daily's" FASHION VICTIM 1985
Real name is Arnold Isaacs - "Scaasi" spelled backwards
Moved to Australia as a teenager where he began his studies in art.
He continued his studies after moving back to Montreal and then in Paris at the Chambre Syndicale.
Opened his own New York based ready-to-wear business in 1957.
In 1963 he abandoned ready-to-wear and began to design haute couture.
In 1958 he was awarded the Coty American Fashion Critics "Winnie" (women's wear) award.
In 1959 he was awarded the Neiman-Marcus award
Moved to New York in the early 1950s and worked with famed fashion designer Charles James as a sketch artist.
