About recording the cool mix of Rock meets Indian music track with The Vamps, Shekhar said in a recent interview, “It was superb to work with The Vamps, they are good guys and extremely talented. We went in not really knowing each other, but in a few minutes of being there, they had taken the song that we had created for them and added their own vibe to it. There was a comfort and joy to the sessions we did and that is something I think you can hear in the track.”

Sarah Paulson: Watching Myself as Marcia Clark in The People v. O.J. Simpson 'Literally Made Me Ill'
Sarah Paulson is nominated for a lead actress Emmy for her portrayal as Marcia Clark in the limited series The People v. O.J. Simpson - but she hasn't watched herself in the role. The 41-year-old actress revealed at the show's panel at the Television Critics Association in Beverly Hills on Tuesday that she unintentionally "just saw a little bit" for the first time. "I haven't seen any of it and I just saw a little bit of that verdict," Paulson said during the panel of watching herself on-screen. "It literally made me physically ill. I thought I was going to...

When you've got managed to put together the year's most critically-acclaimed and most Emmy-nominated program, chances are you're going to be asked to entertain the notion of a second season. In the case of The People v. O.J. Simpson, that would mean exploring the months and years following the fateful verdict that set O.J. Simpson free after being accused of murdering his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman. And it's not anything the producers of the hit FX limited series have any interest in pursuing. Executive producer Brad Simpson was posed the question during the show's panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, where he quickly quashed any hopes at...

Screen Masculinity
For almost a year, Graffiti with Punctuation editor Blake Howard and I have been discussing doing a series of essays about a topic of mutual interest - portrayals of masculinity on screen. The aim is to explore our favorite elements of the topic, to get quite personal and to come up with something hopefully compelling.
That journey continues today with the second piece by myself, arguably one of the most personal pieces of writing I've ever done for the site and sets a tone for promising reading to come. I urge you to check out the piece in our features section, or by clicking here and to leave feedback on it if possible.

Fox 2000 has acquired the supernatural psychological thriller "Liminal" with Christopher Landon set to direct. Landon will also write the script based on a story by Adam Robitel. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson are producing.

The first person to tip me about Lin-Manuel Miranda's "Hamilton" was producer Brad Simpson, at the March 2015 downtown premiere of the last season of "Mad Men." He assured me this was something unique and rare. And I tried to get tickets at the Public Theatre, then figured I'd go when it hit Broadway, which proved difficult. The publicity people didn't need coverage from Indiewire. I finally ordered tickets without markup back in October for March, the week after the Oscars. So even though Indiewire just got bought by Penske Media and there was a lot going on, I still indulged my frantic cultural New York post-Oscar stint. And had a blast hanging out with Indiewire's super-smart NY team: Eric Kohn, Kate Erbland, Chris O'Falt, Jason Gonzalez and Zack Sharf. Penske Media digital editor William Earl gave me a tour of the spanking new Variety and Women's Wear Daily offices where Indiewire will soon move,...

There’s a new digital comics platform on the horizon, and it looks fantastic in its simplicity. The new mobile comics platform, coming to us in early 2016, is called Stela (pronounced “Steela”). It is a both an app and a publisher, being a platform optimized for smartphones that offers exclusive original content by award-winning writers and illustrators, including Evan Dorkin, Sarah Dyer, Joe Casey, Irene Koh, Brian Wood, Ron Wimberly, Stuart Moore, and many more.
The founders of Stela come from the comics, gaming, and mobile gaming industries; and its leadership includes Creative Director and Editor-in-Chief Ryan Yount, and Senior Editor Jim Gibbons (formerly of Dark Horse Comics). Stela intends to bring new content to the app every weekday, and will be available via subscription.

Sony Pictures’ The Rosie Project may have lost Richard Linklater only a few weeks ago – not to mention Jennifer Lawrence, too – but that hasn’t quelled the director’s appetite to get back behind the camera. He’s currently dreaming up his follow-up to critically-acclaimed indie drama Boyhood, and after settling on an adaptation of Maria Semple’s 2012 novel Where’d You Go, Bernadette, we now have word of the project’s first potential star.
Word comes by way of The Wrap, revealing that Cate Blanchett is in contention for a lead role. The exact specifics of said part hasn’t been disclosed at the time of going to press, though it’s a safe bet that a star of Blanchett’s calibre would be in line to assume the title role.

It seems Richard Linklater is spending no time resting on his laurels following the Oscar nomination for acclaimed family drama Boyhood, after it was announced that the filmmaker has entered early talks to helm the big-screen adaptation of Maria Semple’s novel Where’d You Go, Bernadette.
News comes by way of The Hollywood Reporter, who state that the project is being overseen by Annapurna Pictures — indie studio behind such titles as Her, American Hustle and The Master — which, should Linklater sign along the dotted line, would mark a reunion between the two parties given that the director worked under Annapurna for 1980s basketball drama, That’s What I’m Talking About, which wrapped production late last year.
Sticking with the family drama, Linklater’s next potential project will orbit around the titular persona, charting her successful life through the eyes of her 15-year-old daughter Bee Branch. What makes the story so intriguing,...

Oh, no he didn't! is the thought that went through a number of Fifth Harmony fans' (and even members') minds after hearing what The Vamps' James McVey said about their girl Lauren Jauregui, but the singer has since backtracked and done some damage control. However, before we get there, let's fill you in on the drama that fueled everything, yes? Yes. It all started when the British boyband appeared on Australia's Take 40 for an interview recently, and band member Brad Simpson was asked about his relationship status with Jauregui. "I was April to December," he responded (also clearly revealing that they are no longer an item), but his buddy McVey cut in with a comment that...

Could sci-fi be getting an extra boost right now in modern-day Hollywood? It wouldn't be too surprising, given the fact that end-of-the-world like pictures are all the rage. But anyways, it looks like Walt Disney Pictures has scooped up the pitch to the new sci-fi flick called "The Runner." A group of survivors living in the Rocky Mountains have discovered a way to send a man back in time. While the volunteer departs under the guise of trying to stop the devastating attack, he has an ulterior motive: to save the love of his life.”
So is this Source Code meets Red Dawn by way of Timecop?...
