One of the legendary talents of the Yiddish theater, Menasha Skulnik
also appeared in several Broadway shows, most notably in Clifford
Odets' "The Flowering Peach" and
Harold Rome's "The Zulu and the
Zayda," winning a Tony award for Best Actor in a Musical for the latter
in 1964. He died in 1970 at the age of eighty.
