- Eugene Smith was born in New York City in 1926. He made his acting debut in the Equity Library Production of Goodnews. He was in Broadway's "South Pacific", "Fragile Fox", "Buck White", and "Forty Carats". He was also in Off Broadway plays, such as, "Friend of the Corpse", "When Strawberries Grew on Apple Trees", and "Antiques". He was an NBC Staff Announcer for two summers and has performed in many commercials, both live and filmed.
