- George Spiro Dibie was born on November 15, 1931 in Jerusalem, Palestine [now Israel]. He was a cinematographer and producer, known for Growing Pains (1985), Just the Ten of Us (1987) and Dudley (1993). He was married to Daniele Parker. He died on February 8, 2022 in Encino, California, USA.

Also served as a member of the ASC Board of Governors; Chairman of the ASC Education and Public Outreach Committee; Chairman of the ASC Fundraising Committee; and board member of the ASC Membership Committee and Awards Committee.

- Dibie is the first to serve as the National President of the International Cinematographers Guild, Local 600 IATSE (20 years). He is a member of the DGA, and serves on the Board of Governors of the American Society of Cinematographers, and Chairs the Education and Public Outreach and Fundraising Committees. He is a member of the TV Academy (Cinematography Branch). Dibie conducts cinematography and lighting workshops for emerging cinematographers on a local and international level.
- He has earned six Emmys and received 11 nominations. His awards included:
