The Bear season 3 will return to our screens on the 27th June with all episodes dropping at once. More on the third season below.
The Bear, Christopher Storer’s popular kitchen drama, has had us shouting “Yes, chef! and “Behind!” since its first season debuted in 2022. Starring Jeremy Allen White, the series follows his fine dining chef Carmy who returns to Chicago to run his late brother’s sandwich shop which has now been transformed into the titular restaurant.
We now have confirmation that the highly anticipated season 3 will debut on Disney+ in the UK and on Hulu in the US on the 27th June. All 10 episodes will drop at once, for your binge watching pleasure.
We also got a tiny little sneak peek at the new season, which sees Carmy returning to the kitchen. The third season will deal with the fallout of the somewhat, shall we say, eventful opening of The Bear.

Bruce Springsteen, “The Boss,” is one of the best rock singers in history. A pioneer of rock music, Springsteen has contributed to several subgenres of rock, with his music and his lyrics portraying the life and troubles of the “common people” in the United States. And while his music is undoubtedly majestic, his lyrics generally had a social note that made him stand out among the tough competition in the rock music market. Now, when Hollywood is actually making a lot of musical biopics, the time has come to make a film about Bruce Springsteen as well, and we already have some interesting casting updates.
The movie is going to be titled Deliver Me From Nowhere and will actually focus on the process of making Springsteen’s 1982 album Nebraska, which means that it will portray both the musician and his longtime manager, Jon Landau.

Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are breaking ground in streaming with a bundled offering featuring Disney+, Hulu and Max.
The companies are aiming to launch the bundle this summer. The exact launch date and the price point have not yet been announced, but plans call for both ad-free and ad-supported versions to be available.
The move creates the first cross-company partnership for any of the top-tier services to come to market as the race to catch up with Netflix began in earnest about five years ago. It follows years of speculation and public musings by top executives about when bundling across the industry might reduce friction and begin to make streaming more cost-efficient for programmers and consumers alike. Pay-tv operators long served as third-party bundlers in the cable age, but while distribution deals with the likes of Roku and Amazon are key to any streaming service gaining traction, it’s...

Jeremy Strong could be joining Jeremy Allen White in “Deliver Me From Nowhere,” the 20th Century Studios movie about Bruce Springsteen and the making of his 1982 album, “Nebraska.”
The “Succession” star is in talks to play Springsteen’s (White) longtime manager Jon Landau in the Scott Cooper-directed feature. Cooper is also writing the film, which is based on Warren Zane’s 2023 book “Deliver Me From Nowhere: The Making of Bruce Springsteen’s Nebraska.”
“Nebraska,” the follow-up to Springsteen’s 1980 double album “The River,” was expected to be a blockbuster rock record with the E Street Band. Instead, it was a stripped-down solo album made on a four-track recorder. The book tells the story of Springsteen’s artistic journey in the creation of the record.
Springsteen and Landau are involved in the making of the movie, which is expected to start shooting in the fall.

“Be My Baby” is as universal as a pop song can be. It’s the song that made Ronnie Spector a timeless rock & roll legend, a teenage girl from Spanish Harlem who packed a lifetime of raw power into three minutes. Ever she belted out “Be My Baby” in 1963, it’s been the classic that sums up the whole Sixties girl-group era, with Phil Spector’s lavish Wall of Sound production. But it’s never left the airwaves. Treasures from the archives of the late Suicide frontman Alan Vega and his widow, Liz Lamere, will come out in the year ahead. The first will be a solo album, Insurrection, that Vega recorded in the late Nineties, and its latest single, “Cyanide Soul,” sounds as unsettling as Suicide’s Seventies recordings. A mechanical rhythm propels its way through Vega’s and Lamere’s icy, synthy atmospheres as Vega whispers in a menacing way about cyanide. It’s just as eerie as “Mercy,” the first track to be released from Insurrection,...

Prior to hitting the road this year, Bruce Springsteen promised that he’d mix up the setlist far more than he did last year when a vocal contingent of fans complained there wasn’t enough variation from night to night. “Some of my basic themes of mortality and life and those things, I’m going to keep set,” he said on SiriusXM’s E Street Radio. “I think I’m gonna move around the other parts of the set a lot more, so there’ll be a much wider song selection going on.

Tom Brady was a good, um, sport Sunday night, where he was roasted about all aspects of his life, from his former marriage to Gisele Bündchen to his role in deflategate.
Host Kevin Hart kicked off The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady by noting that the event would be focusing on the “greatest quarterback of all time.” “Wait, Joe Montana’s here?” he quipped. He went on to joke that the teleprompter should have included the qualifier “one of the” greatest quarterbacks ever in reference to Brady. “The greatest is Joe Montana,” he affirmed.
Hart also commented on the demographic makeup of the attendees inside the Kia Forum. “I’ve never seen Inglewood so white,” he quipped of the Los Angeles suburb where the venue is located. “It’s so fucking white in here. It looks like a Bruce Springsteen concert just let out. This used to be the home of the Lakers,...

It was a long night for Tom Brady at his live Netflix comedy roast, as it was for the rest of us watching from home.
Starting with a bloody Oj Simpson jersey and ending with Brady smashing an iPhone on stage, the Netflix live event, “The Greatest Roast of All-Time: Tom Brady,” honored the seven-time Super Bowl champion. The modern-day legend faced his biggest challenge yet: being roasted by comedians and his former NFL teammates.
At times hilarious and at others a bit cringe-worthy, the unedited live event was a lengthy affair that made one truly appreciate the editors of the Comedy Central roasts. Their task was to condense the content into a concise, entertaining 60-minute presentation. Here, bits went on far too long, and former football players had glazed looks in their eyes in the background. The comedians who do this for a living performed incredibly well, while the others…...

When “Curb Your Enthusiasm” began its run on HBO all the way back in 2000, creator/star Larry David had a very specific rule: He wouldn’t let the show’s cast read the episodic outlines.
“The first three seasons I did not even see an outline,” “Curb” star Cheryl Hines tells Variety‘s Awards Circuit Podcast. “I wasn’t allowed. And then yeah, and so that was the joke is when I got to hair and makeup. I’d say, ‘can anybody tell me what this show is about?’ And they’d say no. And then I finally talked Larry into letting me read an outline. I did promise Larry that I will never think ahead about what I’m going to say.”
David wanted them to think on their toes as they improvised the dialogue in scenes — and that became an early hallmark of why the show felt so unique.

Starting with “Rebel-‘Rouser” in 1958, Duane Eddy’s instrumental hits from the early rock & roll era made the guitar the star of the show. On that song and those to follow, like “Peter Gunn,” “Cannonball,” and “Forty Miles of Bad Road,” Eddy used vibrato and lent his guitar a deep sound by emphasizing bass strings. In doing so, he influenced an entire incoming generation of guitar players — including Bruce Springsteen, George Harrison, Jimi Hendrix, and John Fogerty. Duane Eddy, the twangy, Grammy-winning rock guitarist who had Top 10 instrumental hits including “Rebel Rouser” and “Forty Miles of Bad Road” and scored with a version of Henry Mancini’s “Peter Gunn,” died Wednesday of cancer at a hospital in Franklin, Tn, his wife Deed Abbate told The Associated Press. He had turned 86 last week.
Eddy, who influenced generations of guitar legends including George Harrison, John Fogerty, Bruce Springsteen, Ritchie Blackmore, Mark Knopfler and The Ventures’ Don Wilson, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
Born on April 26, 1938, in Corning, NY, Eddy began playing guitar at age 5. Amid a fertile alternative music scene in the U.K., spurred on by a flurry of new independent labels, bands like Echo & the Bunnymen had to work harder to stand out from the pack. The austere, post-punk minimalism of the group’s first three albums earned them critical acclaim and a cult following, but by 1984 their sound—Joy Division as fronted by Jim Morrison, if you will—was in need of retooling. Was there space for another scrappy, dour foursome alongside more established acts like Siouxsie and the Banshees, an ascendant U2, and unique sounds from the likes of Cocteau Twins and Depeche Mode?
Echo & the Bunnymen’s fourth album, Ocean Rain, would prove to be their shining moment. The quality of the songwriting ensures its status as a classic, separating it from both the band’s more uneven earlier works and their patchy, self-titled follow-up from 1987.

Pop history is littered with prolific partnerships, but the artist-producer pairing is arguably one of the most indispensable. Not only can an intrepid knob-twirler coax the best out of an artist, the most fruitful of these collaborations are often reciprocal. Think George Martin and the Beatles; Timbaland and Missy Elliott; or Jam & Lewis and Janet Jackson. Taylor Swift and former Fun guitarist-drummer Jack Antonoff have both achieved commercial and critical success outside of their work together, but their alliance over the last several years has, more often than not, resulted in pop magic.
The duo first worked together over a decade ago, on the unassuming “Sweeter Than Fiction,” a song from the British-American film One Chance. The following year, Antonoff co-wrote and co-produced three tracks for Swift’s blockbuster album 1989, the success of which propelled him to the top of every A&r exec’s wish list, helming tracks for Pink,...

Taylor Swift has broken yet another record with her latest album The Tortured Poets Department.
Since the album was released a week ago, it has topped the UK’s music chart with the biggest first-week sales in seven years.
The BBC reports that the 31-track double album shifted 270,000 UK chart units in seven days, beating Swift’s previous best of 204,000 for her 2022 album Midnights.
Swift now matches Madonna as the female artist with the most ever UK number one albums. Both have 12 to their name, as does Bruce Springsteen. Only The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Robbie Williams and Elvis Presley have more.
Swift has broken other records with this album. By the end of launch day, it had become Spotify’s most streamed album ever in a single day, and five days later had been streamed a billion times,...

[Editor’s note: The following article contains some spoilers for “Challengers.”]
“Then the lights go out and it’s just the three of us / You me and all that stuff we’re so scared of”
By the time Luca Guadagnino’s sexy, thrilling “Challengers” sticks two of its leads in — of all places — a suburban Applebee’s, we have a sense of where this is all going.
Built around a love triangle, Guadagnino’s latest stars Zendaya as once-in-a-generation tennis prodigy Tashi, who gets entangled (both personally and professionally) with the sparky Patrick (Josh O’Connor) and his more focused Bff Art (Mike Faist). Told in a nonlinear fashion, the film volleys back and forth between time and place, always coming to rest on a key 2019 match between Patrick and Art.

At the very moment Taylormania was hitting preposterous heights, threatening to turn the artist at its center into an untouchable icon, it turns out that the real Taylor Swift was spending her time between glittery three-hour concerts making some of her most fearless art. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology is stuffed with the rawest, angriest, and most unguarded songs of Swift’s career – quite the opposite of the ingratiating, focus-grouped inoffensiveness that a skeptic might expect from an artist at her current level of visibility.

Forty years after putting down the Power Station broom and picking up the microphone, Jon Bon Jovi is in an introspective mood.
The man who co-wrote iconic songs including “Livin’ on a Prayer” and “Keep the Faith” is preparing for the release of Hulu’s four-part docuseries Thank You, Goodnight, directed by Gotham Chopra.
Initially planned as a career retrospective around the band’s 40th anniversary – Bon Jovi’s eponymous album was released on January 21, 1984 – the series added another element to the story, that of its lead singer’s health issues that have raised question marks about the band’s future.
Thank You, Goodnight, which premieres April 26, highlights the highs and lows of being in a band, the drugs and the difficulties of remaining successful and wanting to evolve but not wanting to alienate its audience, in addition to its leader’s health issues. It’s not a “VH1 puff piece,...

If so far you never knew that Ben Stiller, apart from being a great comedy actor, is also quite a prominent director — this news is for you.
The recent rumors have it that Stiller will be back to the director’s chair of a feature film after a break of almost ten years — his most recent movie, 2015’s Zoolander 2, was probably his biggest disaster so far.
Now that the filmmaker is ready to make his way back to movies afresh, his next feature seems to be much more brutal than anything before — and it might star Jeremy Allen White.
According to The InSneider’s reports, Stiller is having the first preparations for his collaborative work with Amazon on a presumably criminal drama called The Seven Five while Allen is currently in early talks to get the leading role.
Right now no details about the upcoming project have been revealed,...

Here is an incomplete list of people who might really enjoy Hulu’s Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story: Longtime Bon Jovi fans, who know this story by heart but love it enough to want to hear it again. More recent converts, eager to fill in the gaps of their knowledge. Individuals who are deeply invested in Jon Bon Jovi as a person, and wondering how he’s been. Jon himself, presumably — though the frontman has stressed that he did not have final cut, director Gotham Chopra has assembled a portrait as reverent as any celebrity might reasonably hope for.
Everyone else — the casual listeners, the total newbies, the gossips and (at least in my case) the critics — can probably keep walking. Thank You, Goodnight is a perfectly nice retrospective, approachable and amiable and affectionate. But that’s not the same thing as saying it’s a particularly insightful one.

An intriguing creative duo are in line to collaborate on The Seven Five, a crime drama that could mark Ben Stiller’s return to film directing.
According to Jeff Sneider (via World Of Reel), Ben Stiller has signed up to helm The Seven Five, a crime drama that will be ‘set in the 1980s in New York City. The story’s about a corrupt police precinct and its ringleader, Michael Dowd, who was arrested in 1987 with a handful of other dirty cops who stole money and drugs. He served 14 years in prison, and his arrest exposed widespread corruption within the NYPD.’
It sounds intriguing, right? Add to this the talents of The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White in the lead role and you could have something special. Allen White was exceptional in last year’s The Iron Claw and his work in TV’s The Bear is no less remarkable.

Two weeks after Conan O’Brien’s triumphant return to his former home at 30 Rock, another homecoming of sorts is set to take place on his old show.
Drummer Jay Weinberg, who currently serves as drummer for crossover thrash band Suicidal Tendencies, will sit in with Late Night with Seth Meyers’ 8G Band next month.
Under the musical direction of Fred Armisen, The 8G Band frequently invites artists to sub in for Armisen on drums. Other recent guest drummers have included Fall Out Boy’s Andrew Hurley, No Doubt’s Adrian Young, and Mudhoney’s Dan Peters.
Weinberg’s presence on Late Night creates something of a full-circle moment for the franchise. His father, Max Weinberg, was the drummer and bandleader for O’Brien’s house band.

From the kitchen to corruption, The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White is now being eyed for The Seven Five, a movie based on the 2014 documentary of the same name to be directed by Ben Stiller.
While the role that White is apparently circling for The Seven Five has yet to be revealed, it was reported back in 2020 that the likes of Nicholas Hoult and Aaron Taylor-Johnson were linked to play Michael Dowd, who was considered the “ringleader” of a net of corruption that ran through the New York City police department in the 1980s. One could assume that neither of these casting decisions worked out or that White could be in talks for the role of Patrick Eugene McKenna, another key player in the NYPD.
Regardless of Jeremy Allen White’s role at this time, this isn’t the first attempt to get the documentary turned into a narrative. An...

There have already been several high points on Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band’s 2024 tour, and Sunday night’s show in Columbus, Ohio, provided another one.
The Boss and co. turned in an epic three-hour, 30-song set that saw “Youngstown,” “Streets of Fire,” and “I’m Goin’ Down” all performed live for the first time since at least 2017. The choice to kick off the show with “Youngstown” was especially appropriate as it was written about Youngstown, Ohio, located just two-and-half hours away from Columbus. Meanwhile, “Streets of Fire” has only been performed by Springsteen 23 times since 1978, and not since 2017.

One of the hallmarks of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” was its slew of A-list celebrity guest stars, who often appeared as themselves and lampooned their public personas through grating social interactions with Larry David. The show’s guest star pedigree remained strong until the very end, with the likes of Bruce Springsteen and Salman Rushdie making self-deprecating appearances in the last few seasons.
Given the busy schedules of celebrities, fans would be forgiven for assuming the show had multiple people in mind for each appearance. But at this week’s PaleyFest LA panel celebrating the show’s final season, David and his collaborators revealed that they often wrote scripts for specific people without backup plans in mind.

Parodying one’s self on “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is a celebrity rite of passage, with everyone from Martin Scorsese and Bruce Springsteen to Salman Rushdie and Lt. Colonel Alexander Vindman stopping by Larry David’s HBO sitcom to celebrate their own neuroses over the past quarter century. But now that the show has finally wrapped after a 12-season run, the cast can admit that some cameos tower above the competition in the pantheon of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” history.
During a panel discussion about the show’s 12th season moderated by Judd Apatow at PaleyFest LA 2024, longtime series regular J.B. Smoove reflected on his favorite celebrity appearances on the show. Less than two weeks after Curb Your Enthusiasm aired its final episode, the cast reunited for a special event at PaleyFest on Thursday, where Larry David spoke publicly about the series finale for the first time.
In a panel conversation moderated by Judd Apatow at Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre, David told the crowd that “there was a week of basking” in the glow of the finale, which ended with an appearance by Jerry Seinfeld and a play on the Seinfeld ending.
“Honestly I was kind of blown away at the response to the finale, yeah,” David continued. “It exceeded my wildest expectations; of course, I never have expectations for anything.” Apatow asked if he had read reviews of the ending, and the star teased, “Only if they’re good, yes.”
