Carrie Underwood adopts a swanky club vibe in the video “Drinking Alone,” which was released on Wednesday. Directed by Randee St. Nicholas, the video features Underwood giving a cabaret-style performance, dressed in a look similar to her Cma Awards rendition. The storyline loosely follows the song’s lyrics, as Underwood spots a lonely drinker...

St. Nicholas went through 14 such images with Rolling Stone and told us the stories behind the snapshots. “I think of him every day,” she wrote of Prince in an excerpt. “I still expect him to call and give me an hour’s notice to jump on a plane or meet him somewhere and be ready to shoot.

The pop sensation's steamy music video for "Make Me" dropped on Friday, causing many to question the differences between the visuals released and the details Spears had originally teased. When E! Additionally, the "Piece of Me" singer shared behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot that didn't make the final cut. A source told E! It's officially the end of an era at CBS, with the network canceling its latest -- and last remaining -- "CSI" property, "CSI: Cyber," bringing the once-revered franchise to an end.
"CSI: Cyber" ran for two abbreviated season on CBS, though it was never able to achieve the heights of its parent series, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," which exploded onto the scene in 2000 and was once the most-watched program on television, peaking at more than 26 million viewers in its heyday. In contrast, "Cyber" -- the third spinoff of the franchise, following "CSI: Miami" and "CSI: New York" -- scored only a fraction of those numbers throughout its short run, pulling in 10.46 million sets of eyeballs at the beginning of its first season, and starting its second with just 6.79 million viewers.
According to Deadline, "Cyber" was hurt by its season two Sunday night timeslot, which frequently clashed with NFL games, though...

The late Whitney Houston's legacy lives on through tributes like the upcoming Grammy special, featuring stars like Jennifer Hudson and Usher, and photo book "Whitney: Tribute to An Icon," which displays the work of Randee St. Nicholas. But nothing can remind fans of just what an incredible performer Houston was quite like hearing her voice -- and the just-released duet between Houston and R. Kelly does exactly that.
"I Look to You" will be included on the 18-track tribute album, "I Will Always Love You: The Best of Whitney Houston," which will be released Nov. 13, coinciding with the Grammy tribute concert.
The duet is a new version of the title track of her 2009 album, produced and written by Kelly, who sang the song at her February funeral.
Clive Davis, Sony Music's chief creative officer, says Houston had given up smoking for two weeks prior to the recording because of some dental work.

Two more new songs from Britney Spears' soon-to-be-released album "Femme Fatale" have landed online. These latest leaks are a will.i.am-assisted song "Big Fat Bass" and a solo track "I Wanna Go". The former is produced by the Black Eyed Peas star himself, and the latter is a production duet of Max Martin and Shellback.
"Big Fat Bass" is a heavily-Auto-Tuned dance track with a lot of repetitive lyrics. "Hey, you see me down on the floor/ I want you to take me higher/ Till I can't take it no more," Britney sings in non-repetitive lines. "And now, you see me up on the sky/ I was rocking the bottom/ Now look at me I can fly."
"I Wanna Go" is also a fist-pumping song, but it adds some whistling sound in the bridge. She once again channels her inner flirtatious kitten, "Lately I been stuck imagining/ What...

Marie was found dead by her daughter after apparently dying in her sleep, manager Mike Gardner said.
“Teena was a black voice trapped in a white body,” said Cathy Hughes, founder of Radio One, a broadcasting company that targets African-American and urban listeners. “I would always tell her that she was one of the greatest vocalists of our time.”
Among her songs were “Lovergirl,” “Portuguese Love,” “Ooo La La La,” and “I’m a Sucker for Your Love.”

In a music video for her new single "Turn on the Radio", Reba McEntire ties up a guy who has done her wrong to a chair and shows him, once for all, who's boss. The music video is directed by Randee St. Nicholas and was filmed in late July at a warehouse in Nashville.
The video shoot was forced to be halted when there was a terrifying electrical storm near the location and a confirmed tornado touched down only a few miles from downtown Nashville. "This is only the second time one of my video shoots as been shut down because of a storm," Reba said back then as quoted by The Valory Music.

Miranda Lambert has premiered a music video in companion to her new single "Dead Flowers". The video is directed by Randee St. Nicholas and "is basically written around every single lyric of the song -- from dead flowers to Christmas lights to the wind."
"I love it when video directors take the lyrics of your song and really portray every single little detail because, as a writer, that's my baby, and I want it to be a real depiction," Miranda told Cmt about the video. "Randee St. Nicholas is a great director. I knew that she could draw that emotion back out of me because I obviously had that emotion at one time."
"Dead Flowers" is set to be included in Miranda Lambert's forthcoming third studio album "Revolution" which is expected to arrive in U.S. stores on September 29. "This song is pretty special to me," she said of the track.

We’re barely into the summer TV season, and ABC already has started shaping up its fall schedule.
Mind you, these dates are subject to change depending on what other networks do and the kind of buzz the new series end up getting. But at least we know when our favorites will be back. Among the highlights: “Dancing with the Stars” returns Monday, Sept. 21. “Grey’s Anatomy” will be back, presumably Gizzie-less, on Sept. 24. “Desperate Housewives” fans find out who Mike Delfino married on Sept. 27.
“Ugly Betty” returns a bit later and on a new night, Fridays, starting October 9.
A reminder to “Lost” fans — the final leg of the journey starts in midseason (probably January) and runs straight through…...

Willing to get better with his growing age, Prince has a change of heart that he decided to turn his back on his raunchy past. The hit maker openly admitted he no longer wants to write songs with lusty lyrics and perform dirty dancing on-stage because he does not want to offend his fans, who as time goes by have grown up and had children.
Talking about his determination, Prince told USA Today, "I did the Dirty Mind tour and pushed that envelope off the table. What I didn't do, Madonna finished. I don't want to go back. You have to get out of your own way." He went on revealing the fact that he is a Jehovah's Witness advocate has also contributed to his decision. Giving credit to the bible, which he often reads, Prince furthermore remarked "that's another way faith has changed me."
