1976, "Lone Star Beer and Bob Wills Music," which reached the top 10 of
the Billboard country charts.
5-time Wrangler Award winner from the National Cowboy and Western
Heritage Museum for his music (1993, 1995, 1997, 1999 and 2002).
The Texas State Legislature named Red Steagall The Official Cowboy Poet
of Texas in April of 1991. He is also the official Cowboy Poet Laureate
of the City of San Juan Capistrano, California.
He has written over 200 songs.
Inducted into the Hall of Great Westerners of the National Cowboy and
Western Heritage Museum in 2003.
Host of the one hour syndicated radio show "Cowboy Corner" on
