While a theme for The Challenge: All Stars 5 has not arrived online, some fans have started to piece together the possibilities.
Spoilers began to emerge within the past few weeks, revealing an intriguing cast featuring MTV OGs and some non-MTV stars.
The Paramount+ spin-off had typically featured only stars who appeared on MTV shows Fresh Meat, Road Rules, and The Real World, with Kam Williams becoming the first former Are You The One? cast member on Season 4.
However, spoilers for Season 5 showed a handful of cast members from CBS’ Big Brother and other reality TV shows joining the All Stars spin-off.
While many fans weren’t pleased with that cast format change, the potential theme and team setup could interest viewers.

Trishelle Cannatella is fresh off a major reality TV competition win, following up her lack of wins on The Challenge with a victory on The Traitors 2.
She and fellow MTV star Chris “Ct” Tamburello closed out the show’s second season with the shared win after voting out castmate Mercedes “Mj” Javid at the firepit.
That earned them a prize total of over $200,000 and bragging rights for The Challenge as one of the top reality competition programs on TV.
Viewers haven’t seen competitors from The Challenge cross into other reality TV worlds, but Johnny Bananas seemed to open the door when he went on the debut of E!’s new show House of Villains.
He followed it up by appearing on The Traitors 2 with Trishelle and Ct but had an early exit from the game.

While drama is seemingly encouraged in MTV’s The Challenge, fighting and bullying aren’t. Since its inception in 1998, 20 players have gotten kicked off the long-running competition series for breaking the rules, with only one contestant removed from multiple seasons.
Ayanna Mackins
The Road Rules star debuted in season 4’s Extreme Challenge (2001). Around episode 6, she physically assaulted Christian Breivik off-camera after he made an offensive joke to castmate Laterrian Wallace. Even though he didn’t want her to leave, producers removed her from the house, making her the first contestant disqualified for breaking the rules. She returned for two more seasons and recently returned to the franchise for spinoff All Stars.
Tina Barta
The two-time finalist was quickly removed from season 13’s The Duel (2006) after punching Beth Stolarczyk in the face. She never returned to the flagship series afterward but has competed in All Stars.

The Challenge two-time champ Mark Long has competed on the reality TV competition show since its second season in 1999. He remembers when T.J. Lavin became the host, referring to it as “a breath of fresh air.”
Mark Long called T.J. Lavin a ‘breath of fresh air’
Host T.J. Lavin has presented the reality competition series since its 11th season, The Gauntlet, in 2005. Og Mark Long, who began appearing in the second season and won twice before the Las Vegas native became the host, has seen several people attempt the job, including skier Jonny Moseley, the late BMX rider Dave Mirra, and himself alongside Real World star Eric Nies.
However, when T.J. entered the picture, Mark called him a “breath of fresh air” because it seemed like the reality TV host cared in a February 2023 interview with the Challenge Mania podcast.

I'm sure I'm not the only person who winced and cringed during a particularly shocking scene from The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles's sixth episode. The scene in question occurs when some of the original season two cast members - which include Tami Roman, Jon Brennan, Beth Stolarczyk, Beth Anthony, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, and Irene Berrera-Kearns - attempt to play a friendly game of "fishbowl," and it gets off to an awfully intense start.
During the end of the episode, things take a sharp turn when a query about the Black Lives Matter movement and George Floyd comes up - particularly asking about Brennan's views on these topics as a white conservative. Brennan, a missionary who lives in Alabama, acknowledges that there are white people in America who are racist, but he seemingly contradicts his statement when he refers to the kids he ministers to as "young, Black,...

Spoiler Alert: Do not read if you have not watched the premiere episode of “The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles,” streaming now on Paramount Plus.
During the summer of 1993, reality television cameras captured the moment when David Edwards, a cast member on MTV’s “The Real World: Los Angeles,” pulled the covers off of Tami Roman (then Tami Akbar), who was lying nearly naked in bed. What seemed to start out as innocent teasing between roommates turned darker as he kept yanking on the blankets, which she was desperately trying to keep wrapped around her body, resulting in her also being pulled out of bed and into the hallway in a vulnerable position. Roommate Beth Stolarczyk, who threw her own body on top of Roman to shield her from the cameras and the eyes of the others in the house, compared his problematic disregard for consent to a rapist’s behavior.

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles premiere “It’s Still Not Funny.”] Beth Anthony, Beth Stolarczyk, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, Irene Berrera-Kearns, Jon Brennan, and Tami Roman return to the iconic Venice beach house from their season of The Real World, the series’ second in 1993, in the Paramount+ reunion, and it doesn’t take long for them to start getting real … again. And for those tuning in to see what happens when Tami and David are in a room together again, given what happened that led to him getting kicked out of the house, fortunately, you don’t have to wait long. Back during their original season of The Real World, as shown quite a few times during the premiere, David pulled the blanket off that Tami was using to cover herself. As a result, he became the first person to be kicked off a reality show. Now, Tami...

Set to reunite are Beth Anthony, Beth Stolarczyk, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, Irene Berrera-Kearns, Jon Brennan and Tami Roman, who will return to the same Venice beach house from the 1993 installment. “The Real World Homecoming: Los Angeles” is set for a Nov. 24 premiere on Paramount Plus, with seven of the original cast members from “The Real World: Los Angeles” reuniting in the same Venice Beach house they shared during their 1993 season.
The docuseries will feature Beth Anthony, Beth Stolarczyk, David Edwards, Glen Naessens, Irene Berrera-Kearns, Jon Brennan and Tami Roman, who reconnect almost two decades after last appearing on-screen together.
