Bhakshak by writer-director Pulkit seems to have been reverse-engineered to quite a degree, which is why the result isn’t as engaging as it should have been. What is the issue here? It’s hard to pinpoint in a single viewing, but there is an instinct that points to the answer. The movie, written by Jyotsana Nath alongside Pulkit, has a significant idea at the center of it, but how best to show it becomes the issue. You have to have the right scenario and a carefully planned-out sequence of events that invites the audience into the world of Bhakshak. The film stars Bhumi Pednekar, someone who has quite boldly chosen films with something to say. She seems to be the one figure in the film that the audience can see and then can immediately be on board with the plot of the film. As far as having a relatable figure is concerned,...

“Expats” star Sarayu Blue remembers the first time imposter syndrome bowled her over.
She was on set for David E. Kelley’s “Monday Mornings” with the “inimitable” Alfred Molina, who just performed a big speech in a key scene.
“We got done, and we were walking to our rooms and he turned back and he said, ‘Was that all right?'” Blue recalled in a conversation with IndieWire. “And I looked behind me cause I thought, ‘Well, he can’t be asking me, who the hell am I?'”
After assuring Molina that he was “brilliant,” Blue remembered realizing: “In that moment, I thought ‘Oh, we never quite release that impostor syndrome.’ We always will check. ‘Did I get that? Did we get it?’ It was a beautiful moment, and I love him so much.”

‘Footprints on Water’ Review: A Heartfelt Tale With A Strong Anchoring Performance From Adil Hussain
Footprints on Water, Nathalia Syam’s debut feature film, centers around an immigrant Raghu who struggles to make ends meet in Birmingham, London. The story dives into the complexity and rigor that the protagonist had to undergo to fulfill his dreams and aspirations in a nation that is away from his motherland. It serves as a poignant reminder that compassion and acceptance are crucial in building a harmonious multicultural society.
Raghu (Adil Hussain) is an immigrant in Birmingham, UK, lacking legal documents. Raghu was a successful businessman in Kerala, India, but due to betrayal from his clients, he fell into the gallows of debt with life-threatening consequences.

The show touches upon the reality of many girls who are abandoned by their parents.

The commercial cinema space in the Telugu language is littered with supernatural horror and fantasy stories of varying quality. One can either really enjoy them for the entertainment or detest them for making a film just for the heck of it. I’m not sure which category Virupaksha comes under. Directed by Kartik Varma Dandu, Virupaksha is a sad attempt at reigniting the supernatural fantasy genre. Why can’t Telugu cinema make an engaging story in this genre that would not leave anyone wanting to walk out of the theater? This commercial movie is about a supernatural entity that has discreetly taken over a small village and starts creating havoc by killing the adults one by one. How will this entity be caught and destroyed?
A Tragic History Of The Village
