He served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II.
After the war, he used his veterans' benefits to pay for acting lessons at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, California. He moved to New York City in 1952.
Was spotted in the off-Broadway musical revue "The Mad Show" in 1966, and eventually signed for "Laugh-In".

and John Murray Sues, b. 14 Sep 1931 CA d. 11 Apr 2008 CT.
Remembered for his campy "Peter Pan" on the peanut butter TV commercial.
