Well Broadway World, it's my final blog which means it's time to say goodbye. But nobody likes goodbyes, so let's avoid it with funny stories about 'Disaster' This week we had an amazing Lgbt event at the show. The audience was so energetic, and we kept raving about them backstage because they laughed at everything clearly, we are all attention whores. We had special celebrity guests, Norbert Leo Butz, Laura Osnes, Robin De Jeus, and John Tartaglia at the show. Can we talk about how sweet they all are I always have 'pinch me' moments when the theater folks I obsessed over in high school and college come to the show. After we geeked out over the celebs listed above, the cast, crew, and audience were all invited to Southern Hospitality for a beverage as part of the event. Like I mentioned in my last blog, the cast is in...

Today we are talking to the songwriter responsible for the new collection of songs culled from his many musical theatre ventures, both new and old - oh-so-appropriately titled Out Of Context - who perhaps is best known to Broadway babies as the composerlyricist of the mid-00s Off-Broadway smash boy-band spoof musical Altar Boyz - the versatile and fiercely committed Michael Patrick Walker. Everyone loves out-of-luck Beaker. His nearly three-year-old YouTube sensation video, a rendition of the classical piece Ode to Joy, goes horribly wrong, as you can see below. While it’s true that the Tony Awards may be an annual religious experience for countless gay men and theater lovers alike, it also can’t be denied that they are the bastard step-child of televised award shows. Can you recall was the last the Tony Awards were featured on the cover of Entertainment Weekly?
There is no red carpet pre-show where a Mary Hart wannabe quizzes Patti LuPone or Kristin Chenoweth on who they’re wearing. And there aren’t enough Hollywood A-listers on hand to warrant any wrap-up coverage by Ryan Seacrest.
Thank God for that.
But the 64th Tony Awards still managed to pull off plenty of entertaining moments that left the audience laughing, moved or even inspired. Here are eleven of the best moments that made this award show watchable.
#1 I would love to say that the entire opening montage was great.
Except that it wasn’t.

"Smokin' Hot" – Wilhemina marginalizes Betty during Fashion Week but Daniel intercedes, and she's assigned to cover a low-priority show. There, she discovers a new designer, Marisa, whom she promotes as one of the 10 Designers to Watch, but Marc steals all her thunder. Meanwhile, Amanda is impressed by Helen's (Kristen Johnston's) sewing skills and teams up with her to start a new line, but cannot convince Marc or Betty to lobby Wilhemina on her behalf.

File this one under "Thanks for nothing, Shrub." That would be the really bulging file I keep on my desk. So what's the issue?
This week Huffington Post blogger Ryan Grim reported that a new book coming out about President George Bush includes the fact that Bush declined to denounce same-sex marriage in his commencement speech at Furman University in 2008 because he wasn't "...going to tell some gay kid in the audience that he can't get married."
No, he was just going to get elected by demonizing the gay kid, and every other 'mo in the country, by allowing henchman Karl Rove to orchestrate two of the most anti-gay presidential campaigns ever run in the U.S. Two campaigns the fueled a wave of constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage across America.
But, hey, Bush wouldn't actually deliver the bad news to the gay college kid himself because he's such a stand up guy.

Theater people have always been known for their commitment to progressive causes. This fact was gloriously confirmed on Sunday, May 17 as several out and proud, high-profile actors gathered with their sympathetic straight colleagues and with other activists and New York state and city politicians to rally in support of marriage equality. Check out my pictures of this stirring event, and to find out what you can do to help the cause, visit http://www.broadwayimpact.com/

Q: I am obsessed with Davis Mallory from The Real World: Denver. In the newest Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Duel 2, Davis and Ryan Kehoe hit it off in the first episode. I was wondering if they are still a couple after the show finished production. Also what happened to P.J. who was Davis's boyfriend on The Real World: Denver? They were so cute together! – Mitchell, Detroit, Michigan
Davis Mallory
A: “Ryan and I weren't a couple on the Duel, nor have we ever been,” Davis tells AfterElton.com “We just made out the first night of taping. Nothing romantic happened after that night, it just turned into a friendship. I actually lived with him for a month this year when I was apartment hunting in NYC,...

So in last Sunday’s much-discussed episode of Brothers & Sisters, Kevin and Scotty considered having a threeway with Kevin’s oh-so-forward ex, Chad.
I didn’t mind that Kevin and Scotty ultimately decided not to go through with it – that seems to fit their characters, after all.
But I was shocked that the writers managed to do a whole storyline about a gay couple considering whether or not to have a threeway … without ever saying a single interesting thing about a gay couple considering whether or not to have a threeway!
No matter. It’s still enough of an excuse to declare this the “Threeway Edition” of B.G.W.E!
Incest, “Fun Buddies,” And Teabagging, Oh My!
Along with Brothers & Sisters’ potential threeway, the big news last week was when easily-manipulated Fox viewers decided to protest the fact that President Obama has already cut taxes for most taxpayers (while...
