- Rouben Ter-Arutunian was born on July 24, 1920 in Tiflis, Georgia [now Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia]. He was a production designer and costume designer, known for Twelfth Night (1957), The Loved One (1965) and Studio One (1948). He died on October 17, 1992 in New York City, New York, USA.
- Won Broadway's 1959 Tony Award as Best Costume Designer for "Redhead." He was also Tony-nominated four other times: as Best Scenic Designer (Dramatic), in 1961 for "Advise and Consent;" as Best Scenic Designer, in 1962 for "A Passage to India" and in 1975 for "Goodtime Charley;" and as Best Costume Designer, in 1964 for "Arturo Ui."
