As the scandal plagued Rep. Anthony Weiner appears to have ruled himself out of the running in the 2013 race for the position of Mayor of New York it seems that Irish American star, ’30 Rock’ funny man Alec Baldwin is seriously considering the idea. According to the Daily a friend of Baldwin’s said he might run now that the field has been shaken up ““Alec said, ‘Hey, maybe this changes the race. The dynamics have shifted,’ ” said Baldwin’s pal. “The Democrats need a high-profile candidate, and Alec can fill that bill.” On Wednesday afternoon Baldwin posted on his Twitter account “It's a long way till November of 2013." His spokesman, Matthew Hiltzik, told New York Daily News that the Emmy Award-winning actors may consider running. He said “I wouldn't rule it out." ------------- Read More: More stories on Alec Baldwin Alec Baldwin would like to run for political office -------------...

.Everyone.s a little mad here.. Walt Disney adapts Lewis Carroll.s famous text, but the result may not appear high up on aficionados of either gentleman.s lists. What I do know is that my two-year-old watched the film five times over the weekend, several times one right after the other. Scholars and historians may disagree, but the intended audience in this instance has the final word. Alice (Kathryn Beaumont) is spending the day by the riverside. She.s bored with the dry historical text being read to her and imagines a world where animals talk. About the same time she sees a White Rabbit (Bill Thompson) with a waistcoat and a pocket watch. She follows the bounding bunny...

Regional body, one of nine that made up Screen England, promoted film-making in east of country
Screen East, an agency set up to promote film-making in the east of England, is the first large-scale victim of the government's surprise decision to close down the UK Film Council.
The regional body, responsible for luring film productions such as The Duchess, The Dark Knight, Batman Begins, Atonement, Stardust and Children of Men to its locations, has folded after it was declared insolvent this month. It was one of nine regional agencies that made up Screen England and was funded jointly by the national film council and by the East of England Development Agency, both now being disbanded by the government.
In an unexpected twist, the agency's collapse was followed by the arrest of its finance manager, Melvin Welton. The 61-year-old from Great Yarmouth was held by police on suspicion of theft and...

Offering up to 30% in rebates, the tax incentives being offered are among the easiest to understand and is well worth being taken advantage of.
Iae sat down with Bill Thompson, the Deputy Commissioner of Georgia’s Film, Music, and Digital Entertainment Division, and his colleague Stefanie Paupeck to discuss his state’s amazing tax incentive and how it has helped such productions as the Oscar Nominated film ‘The Blind Side,’ successful impact the industry.
Iae: Where are you from and what got you interested in entertainment?
Bill: I was born in Washington D.C., and lived in Northern Virginia for about 3 years. Then my parents decided to move to Atlanta, where I’ve lived since then. Early on, my love for photography and...
