If you’re a fan of both horror and soundtracks, like me, you know there’s an embarrassment of riches to collect– especially in the current golden age of boutique labels like Waxwork Records and One Way Static. Some of these horror soundtracks are highly uncommon, not because they’re for obscure films or TV series, but because they break the mold in numerous ways.
Read on for some of the most unusual horror soundtracks ever released….
And feel free to add your own oddities in the comments!
Monster In My Pocket (1992)
This might just be the most unusual soundtrack on this list, given that it’s for a toy line! It’s a shame I didn’t pick this up as a kid, because I loved Monster In My Pocket toys and this Halloween-y compilation sounds right up my alley. (I probably would have worn out the cassette playing it year round.

" Glee Project " winner Damian McGinty made his debut on " Glee " last night -- and the luck of the Irish was with him! Damian sang not once, but twice during the " Pot 'O Gold " episode, where he performed Kermit the Frog 's classic " Bein' Green " and Teddy Thompson 's " Take Care of Yourself ," which really demonstrated why he won the reality show for his part. His brogue was a welcome addition to the show and his scenes with Brittany ( Heather Morris ) were hilarious. Our only qualm: Please let him wear something other than the color green next week! What did you think of Damian's first episode? Think he'll fit in with the New Directions ? Read more...

After an incredibly long hiatus, four weeks to be precise, Glee returned last night. And it was well worth the wait, as one of the Glee Project winners Damien McGinty finally makes his appearance as Roy Flannigan, Irish foreign exchange student and singer extraordinaire.
When we left off, all those weeks ago, the cast list for West Side Story was up, the race for class president gained Rachel, Kurt and Brittany, Mercedes joined Shelby’s renegade Glee club, and Sue was still relentlessly campaigning for Congress. Read on to find out what went down at McKinley this week.
Sue is still crusading against the arts, and has managed to convince Figgans to cut the musical. After Burt finds out, he gets three sponsors to fund the play, takes to the school, and decides to run against Sue for a Congress position himself, which is the kind of badassary you can...

There are those for whom the appearance of new kid at McKinley, Rory Flanagan, played by one of apparently legion winners of The Glee Project, Damian McGinty, was the whole point of tonight's episode.
There were those for whom it was about an inexplicably badly-dressed and even-more-badly chapeau'd Blaine dancing to another Katy Perry song.
But I write this recap for those of us for whom this was the episode in which Brittany and Santana acknowledged they were dating. Also: taking baths together. And for whom Blaine's sartorial mistakes paled when compared to the fact that he lay down on the floor and put his arm around Brittany while Santana glared at him. And who really would have been perfectly happy if Santana had whipped those razor blades out of her hair instead of just threatening wee Rory with torture and suffering if he didn't back off her gf.

Wigan four-piece The Verve have debuted at No.1 with their first album in eleven years. The reformed group's Forth LP matches the success of their last studio set, Urban Hymns, which topped the charts upon its 1997 release. Heavy metal band Slipknot bow in second position with new album All Hope Is Gone, while Irish trio The Script fall to third with their self-titled debut. Other new entries in the top ten come from late songbird Eva Cassidy, a Michael Jackson hits compilation, rapper The Game and folk-rock singer Teddy Thompson. Meanwhile, the flurry of new entries pushes Duffy's Rockferry outside of the top four (more)...
