Is it horror? Is it sci-fi? Is it horror/sci-fi? Those are the questions we've been asking about Endgame Entertainment's upcoming flick Umbra, and now that the project has a new writer And a new director on board, we should be able to find out the answers sooner rather than later.
Per Deadline, Martin Campbell (Green Lantern, Edge of Darkness) has been set to helm Umbra, which previous director Joe Carnahan (whose The Grey is opening later this month) has amicably dropped out of for personal reasons. Paul Haggis (pictured; Million Dollar Baby, Crash), who did rewrite work on the Campbell-directed Casino Royale, has also been brought on to rework the script. Shooting will begin in the spring.
