Norwich take on Aston Villa at Carrow Road in a 3pm Premier League match this afternoon. Although Villa are just three points ahead of the drop zone, it would take a 17 goal swing in goal difference between them and Bolton Wanderers to see them relegated, and that’s only if Queens Park Rangers manage to get something at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City.
Here’s the team news ahead of the game…
Adam Drury (groin) is a big doubt for Norwich, though James Vaughn is hoping for a recall having been left out of the 3-3 draw at Arsenal last weekend.
Daniel Ayala (knee), Marc Tierney (groin) and Zak Whitbread (hamstring) are all missing from the Canaries defence.
For Aston Villa, Alan Hutton ruptured his ankle ligaments in the game against Spurs and is ruled out. Andreas Weimann is also out with a medial ligament strain taken in the same game.

A mid table clash between 10th and 11th place as Sunderland welcome Norwich City to the Stadium of Light for tonight’s 8pm Premier League encounter.
Team News
Sunderland manager Martin O’Neill is unable to call upon defender Wes Brown (medial ligament) and midfielder David Vaughn (ankle ligament) who look to be on the sidelines for several weeks after picking up injuries in Sunday’s Fa Cup tie against Middlesbrough. Captain Lee Cattermole looks like he could miss another game with his troubling hamstring problem.
Nicklas Bendtner is still on the treatment table with a fractured nose, leaving O’Neill sweating on being able to call upon Connor Wickham and Frazier Campbell, neither of which are 100% fit, the latter just make from 17 months on the sidelines with a long term knee injury.
Their opponents Norwich go into today’s match with no fresh injury concerns and even should have...

Like the vagrant at a bus stop that won’t leave you alone, here I am to give you my Premiership round up for week four of the Barclay’s Premier League. I feel like this should be followed by a dramatic orchestral score, alas, this is a single media experience.
Following a brief break in play for international fixtures, Liverpool looked to maintain their bright start to the season away from home to Stoke City.
With several years of careful buying, dogged support and astute management from Tony Pulis, the Potters have firmly established themselves as a solid top flight team. Having spent well on players such as Jonathan Woodgate, Wilson Palacios and Peter Crouch, they have improved a side that reached the Fa Cup final last season and already boasts the likes of Ryan Shawcross, Kenwyene Jones and Jermaine Pennant.
Much to the disappointment of the travelling Merseysiders on Saturday afternoon,...
